Weird buy great
These are objectively a strange looking shoe. I knew they would be but in person man they're odd. That being said I love wearing them. They do take a bit of getting used too but after a few days you get the hang of how to put them on. These are my everyday shoe for just going to the store or working out. They're a little thin on the sole which that's by design but for me personally they're not good for hiking for that reason. I step on a tree root or a rock I really feel it. I prefer my Ascics for trails or even just jogging. Other than that they're great they're super lightweight and after a little while you almost forget you even have them on. They're odd but I love them
Thanks, Jonathan! Glad you gave them a chance and found a rhythm with them.

Very Comfortable, Dry Conditions Only
I have had barefoot shoes before, but never a "toe shoe_ and was excited to try these. I'm a pretty solid 8.5 with short toes. The 41 fits great, though my pinky toe slips out once in a while when on an incline. Pros: Very comfortable. Super easy to get on. Thick soles feel great on the trail. Not slippery. Socks fit great, too!
Cons: I expected these rugged trail shoes to be at least water resistant. Just walking across a mossy trail my feet were soaked. I live in Western Washington, so damp trails are the norm. And I'm disappointed at how the toe compartments chewed up the socks after just one wear.
Thanks, Hillary! We appreciate the detailed feedback and are glad you’re enjoying the comfort and traction.

Vibrams to Peluva
Been wearing Vibram 5 fingers for 15 years and wanted something with a little more cushion for walking, but still had the stability control using the toes. So far these Strand ATR's help my walking and I feel I can go further more comfortably. Might be because I am approaching 70 years of age...
Thanks, John! Great to hear the ATRs are helping you walk more comfortably.

Best walking/sprinting shoe I've ever owned.
Caveat for the 4 stars: Please make the tread more hearty! and the pull on tab on the back. I walk in my Strand ATR's (mostly on fine gravel trails and grass) anywhere from 1/2 hr. to 2 hours a day and sprint in them 3-4 x a week. These are my go-tos. I am currently on my 3rd pair in this style because I am finding the tread wears out for me quite quickly and when it gets down to a certain point my heels start hurting. Also I have had the pull-on tab on the back break off on my first 2 pairs within 1-2 months. It seems the stitching might not be so secure or else maybe I'm just too rough on my gear. None the less, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this style the best for what I am doing and my feet are so happy. I get so many people stopping me asking about them so they've also become a conversation piece. Thank you and please consider a heartier tread and tabs! Also, I'm a true 7.5 but always wear 8 in Peluva. Some people I know have to size up one whole size because of longer toes and such but if you have short, stumpy toes like me, I find a half size up is perfect.
Just like my other ones i have. Fits nice and very comfy. The one thing not sure of is the laces. Never had this kind before. I am just being picky most likely. I will give it time.
Can’t see myself playing tennis in them but will work towards that. You gotta try them to know if it’s something for you. Peluva is a great company and have great customer service.
Quality looks greate, specifically the bottom of the shoe, they r a little expensive, regarding the materials, good quality but nothing different than the usual (i think).
It has been a month since I started wearing Peluva. I will admit, in the beginning it was very frustrating trying to get the shoes on. I had to re-order my size 3 times until I got it right! But now, I can actually see my feet changing shape and the strength and balance growing from the ground up! I actually prefer my Peluvas now compared to my other shoes. They work. I'm sold. Thank you. PS. My friends and family are so tired of me talking about my toe shoes! Ha Ha
Thanks, Debra. We appreciate that once you get them on, they’re comfortable. That first-step challenge is common with toe shoes.

Haven’t played tennis yet
Thinking my toes are a little long as one seems to jam into the the front but I am going to give these longer to break in than more conventional barefoot shoes (worn them about 8 hours so far)….have barefooted for 25 years…I do like how I feel with my toes able to move independently and I can feel how that changes my whole gait in a good way… I am still searching for the perfect tennis shoe, still hoping I can play in them without jamming my toes…
Thank you, Karen! Great insights, especially from someone with barefoot experience. We hope the break-in pays off and they become your perfect tennis shoes.

Great shoe
I really love the shoes, unfortunatley for me the size that was recommended did not fit. I do feel they run 1 size smaller than a traditional shoe. I did return my original purchase and was recommended to get a half size bigger. The exchange process was easy and fast. Customer service was great. The new size still is a half size too small. I have been wearing them hoping they would stretch some but unfortunately my toes are losing sensation. I do really love the shoe and wish they fit perfectly but I can't afford another pair at this time. Hopefully in the near future I will be able to purchase the right size. I am looking forward to wearing the shoes in the future.
Thanks, Melissa. We’re sorry to hear about the sizing issues and appreciate your patience. If you decide to try another size later, we’re here to help.

A beginner farefoot shoe.
pretty good. I'm not gonna lie a fair amount of people stare at my feet now. A lot thicker than I thought It'd be. not too much tho. There was no sore feet while getting used to it like some people said. Which is a plus. But I don't know how long the souls will last. I got them like a week or 2 ago, the spot for your heel were the peluva symbol is on the soul, is already looking a little damage. It's not super bad, it's just usually takes longer with other shoes I've had. overall very comfortable.
Thank you, Clay. We’re glad you like the Strand ATR and find them comfortable after getting used to them.

I think they're fine
Nice shoes and I like wearing them. Haven't noticed any differences in how my feet feel, etc. but I like them just fine. I wear them walking in my local area which is mountainous. Will buy a pair for my sister in law who does have plantar factitious, as soon as they have another sale. Full price is too high. Hope they will make a great difference for her.
Thanks, Heather. We’re glad your teen is enjoying the comfort after the initial adjustment. It’s great to hear they’re a hit.

Shoes
Love to look at the shoe but this one runs smaller than every other shoe I’ve gotten from them and unfortunately the size 11 is not available in the style so I’m gonna have to figure something out but they are super cute. I might just have to hold off till the 11 becomes available
