New to separated toe shoes
I was not totally new to barefoot shoes, but this is my first experience with the separated toe shoes.
I was skeptical at 1st,...a little hard to put on & slightly rough at the seams without toe socks.
(Your socks were sold out when I ordered the shoes). But once I got some thin toe socks from another source I find I'm really enjoying the shoes. My toes love being able to do their actual jobs! A my baby toe doesn't feel smooshed!!
The Strand ATR provides the flexibility and natural structure of a 5-toe shoe while offering more support and protection than expected. The sole curls up to the front of the toes. I have twice stubbed a toe in the shoes. And both times the toes felt just as protected they would in a box toe pair of shoes.
1st time wearing toe socks/shoes & I can say that I love the freedom of my toes having separation. I like being barefoot when possible so my Peluva’s give that feeling and comfort.
This is my second pair of the Napa Dress Hybrid. I am thoroughly enjoying both pairs. Be prepared for the 'double takes' people will do when they see you wearing them. Most are not used to seeing dress shoes like these.
Love hearing this, glad they're comfy for nighttime too!

Comfortable
I was impressed when I tried this shoe. It fits well and the leather feels luxurious. I tried the ATR but was disappointed as they don’t feel right. This one is different and I was wrong as I tried to give bad reviews. This is awesome and really liked it.
I bought these shoes as a last ditch effort to deal with foot/ankle/calf pain. I was advised in the past to wear high top hiking boots (for ankle support), along with custom orthotics to “heal” supposed plantar fasciitis along with high arches. Years of doing that just made it worse. I was also advised NOT to walk barefoot.
All that changed when I decided to try barefoot shoes. Now I prefer to walk barefoot so my feet can relearn how to use all of their muscles in unison. I really enjoy feeling my feet work to walk. I am more aware of my steps, my gait, and the way my footstep should start with the heel and then roll to the toes to push off. Tight hiking boots were coffins for my feet and kept them from utilizing the muscles.
This means so much, so glad your feet found what they needed!

Best thing to happen to my feet!
I was skeptical. I bought these thinking that it couldn't hurt and if it helped, great. These turned out to be the best thing to ever happen to my feet. Splaying my toes and leveling my foot has helped me so much. I didn't realize how far off my gait had become because I was compensating for foot pain. These have enough cushion to protect my metatarsals while encouraging my foot pad to move back into place. It had moved too high to try and protect me from my pickleball shoes that push all of my weight onto the balls of my feet instead of spreading it out. I hope they never quit making these. I'm a customer for life.
Shipping was fast and communication was thorough and kept me informed.
Response from Peluva
So glad to hear it, thank you!

Like running in them.
I like the way you can feel your toes grasp the ground as you're running. Very natural feeling. I'm glad if I decided to try them. I've got weird feet and Morton's/Greek toe, but they seem to compensate as they are molding to fit. The big toe area on mine seems to bunch with a little extra cloth maybe because of my longer second toe, but doesn't affect comfort. I'm a size 12.5 and so usually get 13s but I went with 13 on peluva and seems to be the right choice.
Just got these Peluva golf shoes ( my third pair of Peluva’s and my first for golf). I love them! They have good grip and are so very comfortable. They are also cute!
The only downside is they aren’t waterproof so my feet get a bit damp if golfing early with morning dew. But I wear them without socks and don’t mind. I will only ever wear these moving forward.
Makes a nice change from regular toe squishing shoes. My feet are different sizes so I ordered up a size, they work well. Takes some practice getting your toes in the right slots but it’s not difficult once you’ve done it a few times. Would like a little more padding in the sole but they’re pretty comfy as is. Would recommend.
