I am new to the toe shoes. These shoes will be the only shoes I wear from here on out until I am no longer walking. I first bought a pair of the Men's Stand ATR at the end of January. I ordered the same size as my regular shoe and when they arrived they felt great. I should have gotten a half size up but im size 13 and the next size was 14. I was afraid they were gonna be too big as I didnt plan on wearing socks. At first they felt great but after a couple months it felt a little tight. I attributed the tightness to my feet conforming to the natural splay being widened due to new use of this type of shoe. When I would prop my feet up and let it rest on the heels my pinkie toes would slide out. This made me think if I were to get a size bigger that it would make the pinkie toe fall out the pocket even more so I didnt think anything of it. Winter was here for a couple days(Texas) and the new Winter boots came out. Instantly purchased those as well and kept my regular size 13 for those as well. These were a bit tighter than the ATR but I had slightly faded thr inside sole where it shows Peluva brand name so I didnt reach out for a return as I figured it would have been declined. Then the new color Black/yellow DAVID Stay flexy color combination came out and I decided to go ahead and try the size 14. Boy oh boy I should have done what Peluva recommended the first 2 times as they clearly know the recommendations for sizing. Yes my pinkie toes still slip out but only when I curl my toes downward. The extra size difference allowed my big toes and other little piggies to have more room to naturally stay in the pockets easier especially when in a depp squat position applied with standing on tip toes in the deep squat position. I'm able to move my feet in the natural positions that you can without wearing shoes while being barefoot. These toe shoes are a game changer. My feet and toes are stronger. My toes are more splayed out instead of being crammed together and are more grounded for a solid foundation. If you have been thinking about it but just haven't made a decision on yes I hope this review will help someone else out there consider the change. Just make sure you get half a size to full size up so you have room if you decide to include the socks. Adding the socks will also help fill the shoes in more and lessen the chance of pinkie toes falling out of the toe pockets. I will never wear another pair of non toe type shoes from here on out. Thank you to Peluva for creating the outlet and to David as well for promoting this as I would have never given them a chance unless I saw his videos.

Great design, comfort and foot feel. Thanks for the sizing guide. I thought the recommendation to size up could be a problem, but you got it right. I’ll be buying more.

I love how natural my feet feel and connect with the ground in my stride. I wear them all the time. I fit in the exact same shoe size. I prefer mine with the Peluva toe socks.

I am thrilled with my Peluva court shoes! I started playing pickleball two months ago and initially convinced myself I needed regular tennis shoes, despite being a Peluva fan for years. That was a big mistake, as I ended up hurting my feet. Switching to Peluva court shoes has completely saved my game and made a huge difference.

Navigation was a breeze. The only difficulty I had was determining my sock size. When I could find a guide, I used that chat feature and got help that way. It would be helpful to have a guide to help purchase your sock size linked to the sock page.
Great shoes!
They feel so natural to walk in. Obviously they don't feel like bare feet, but it's pretty close. I don't feel the constant pressure on my heel like I do in other shoes. When I do put on my old shoes, they feel weird and uncomfortable. It's only been over a week, but I love them. You will get stares and funny faces when people, especially people you know, notice them. But I see it as a conversation starter.

I'm new to the Barefoot Toe shoes game and I had to return mine for a larger size, but for the limited time I had the shoes, they were everything they advertised for. I have bunions, not severe, but for the limited time I had the original shoe, I definitely could feel the correctiveness, if it is a word , working on my toes, definitely can't wait for the replacements to arrive.

I decided to buy Peluva's Men's Strand ATR in March 2026 after incurring few injuries from a very strenuous hiking trip wearing a brand new typical hiking shoe. After fully recovered from the injuries I wanted a shoe where my toes stay separate during my entirety of walk or hiking. I stumbled upon the Peluva's TV ad and decided to try their shoe. After I bought them I want walking 3 times so far on 5 miles in a paved trail. I think it's a keeper and enjoy wearing this new type of shoe. Yes getting each toes into the shoe 1st was bit difficult as I have worn typical shoes for so many years. Peluva's vdo on how to wear their shoe was helpful. I am now getting little better everytime to get the shoes on my foot. Thanks for your unique product.

I love my size 8 lightweight trainers they are by far my most favorite pair compared to the all black Trail hiking boots and the Desert Boot designs. While I love all Peluvas the light weight trainers are true to their name and weight nothing, they fit my feet perfectly and give the best barefoot experience. They are not waterproof in-between the toes but these are made to have breathable material between the toes to reduce sweat during exercise so its only inconvenient when it's really rainy and I accidently step in a big puddle going to my car but that doesn't stop me from wearing them everywhere . This specific pair i wear almost everyday for work and exercise in everyday so 5 stars for quality design. They show no signs of any bad wear and tear and I have had them for almost 6 months already..which is why the pictures are of Dirty peluvas i wanted to show how well they have held up for someone who goes through shoes fast . I run on dirt roads constantly in my area and they have held up very good on tread, foam, and overall hold up. My bunion pain and nerve pain in my feet has definitely reduced since wearing which is one of the main reasons I wanted to try toe shoes. I tell people the only bad thing about Peluvas is that its hard to wear all your old shoes once you start wearing them. They say to size up but for some reason I have found my normal size 8 seems to fit me the best. I didnt have to return them the first time for this specific pair the first pair didnt fit me but peluvas return and exchange process was so fast and easy I was able to figure out the right pair and get them shipped within days. Will definitely get a new pair of this design once these start to fall apart especially if they get different colors.

My feet have never felt better. I play a lot of tennis and my feet hurt a lot. These are great recovery shoes. My feet are getting stronger it feels like with each wear.

My feet are healthier and happier after using these Strand ATRs every day while walking my dogs in the desert. In the last 9 months, I've bought 3 pairs, and they are all still in great shape. I prefer the ATR's to the Mesh model, but all are worth changing from traditional athletic trainers.
