Love my Peluva Strand Lightweight Trainer
I am pleasantly surprised how much I immediately liked my Peluvas. I have never owned toe shoes. They are comfortable. They make my daily hour long walks more enjoyable. I am glad I purchased the shoes and hope to purchase the other style in the near future.
These are hard to put on, but after they are on its like I'm wearing nothin, they are so comfortable that I forget I'm wearing them for a while sometimes. Only issue I have isn't even with the shoes, its the socks. Not a fan of no show socks, but they are a must have for the shoes though. Overall I'm impressed, but would love to see more options for the socks someday.
I have never really been a fan of socks in my minimalist journey which is now about 14 years into this journey. However, there was this deal of a free pair of socks with the purchase of a pair of shoes, so I jumped on the deal. This was a good choice because the socks that I did not think I would like, I really liked. For socks, I have to say the fit and feel is excellent, especially inside the Peluva shoes. Okay, I am hooked on these socks, guess I will be wearing socks more often. Thanks, Peluva
Been wearing toe shoes for years but was always wishing someone would design a "more" normal shoe, such as it is. This is where Peluva took the giant leap, and I want to say, thank you! Let's face it, toe shoes are toe shoes, but Peluva has taken the leap and applied a fresh look to toe shoes. The styling is much different and at first quick glance looks like a normal shoe. I was not sure if I would like the higher stack height, but at the end of the day, I sure did. The shoes are just flat out comfortable both with or without socks as I have worn them both ways. I also like the lace up style, I just think it allows for more adjustment and it makes the shoes look really good. I will be purchasing additional pairs soon, I like them that much! Hats off to all the folks at Peluva.
It took a little time to get comfortable in these, but now I can't tell any difference. Really no one has noticed the toes (or hasn't said anything) I definitely can tell they are working my feet differently
Just received my Peluva trainers and first day I wore them 6 hours straight and no worries with a new shoe. I a problem with a spot on the ball of my foot. They solved that problem. YAY I have run in them, walked on rocks and no problem. Your team met my son Don Freeman, Trail Runner Nation, in Austin. “Mom great shoe, you should get some”. OK so I ordered right them, glad I did. One thought I felt the material on his grey Strand shoe and the fabric is so nice, would be nice when you make some new ones make the grey for women. Women love grey. SO. Great shoe keep up the good work.
Great customer service but sizing was not accurate. Nearly little difference between sizes 10-11 which made me have to request exchange. Also tie enclosure is sloppy. Would also say that toe box is too wide for those with slimmer foot.
She’s loves them & has worn them every day that she could. We stain & waterproofed them before she could wear them so she had to wait 24 hours. That was the hard part.🤣
Nice fitting and pretty comfortable shoe. These have been very good at strengthening my feet and toes. I wear them for long walks everyday. I look forward to using them and the relief feet feel after. I could tell after a week of using them, just how much better my feet felt and looked. My toes thank Peluva.
Normally I don't wear no show socks, but they came with the shoes and I need socks with toes. I have size 12 feet, so the socks are kinda small. But they are somewhat comfortable, worth using.
Reached out to customer service about their scanner not registering my foot size accurately. Responded to my email next day(on a Sunday). They were very informative and polite, however not entirely the most helpful(advice given was similar to what their website already said). But following said advice, I was able to find a size that fit.
Would like to see some improvements to the scanner in the future, but overall would recommend.

Happily Surprised
For note, I have a wide foot(4E/Extra Wide)and have to usually go 2 sizes larger to fit most shoes. These are the best fitting shoes I have had. With this, the foot scanner did not properly measure my foot. Kept implying it was either 8(I am usually 9.5) or would say my foot was too small.
Mild discomfort when first wearing, toes cramped. After wearing them more they fit like a glove. Only issue is now that its winter the breathable material lets more cold air in the I am use to. I think due to no padding nor arch support, causes muscles to tense in legs more then usual.
My only concern is how well they will last years down the line. Most shoes I try to keep at least for 3 years. While the quality is nice, unsure if they will stand to wear and tear. For everday walking they seem fine, unsure how they will handle hiking or rougher terrain.
Also, as someone who walks on their toes when barefoot, these are the first shoes to allow this and not feel painful/uncomfortable.
I loved the way this felt, if they had only fit... I wear a 49 in Vibram... But apparently the 14 here are 48.5. And they were just a touch to small 😩 I am going they make extended sizing.
