Im in love with these Peluva’s; first few days the foot has to get used to the shoe and the shoe has to get used to fhe foot (this is about getting them on with all your toes in the right spots. Once they’re ON they are amazing!! I use both batefoot and with Peluva socks; I think I like barefoot more but im still up in the air deciding. Ibe already bought a 2nd pair.

Fairly good
Toes are firm and flexible, overall not bad. Sizing is difficult and still not right, but im tired of exchanging them so im living with the size i have now.

110x better than my old vibrams
I am an avid trail runner and spend as much time outdoors and in nature as I can. I have worn vibram 5 toe shoes for a few years and really I wish I found the Peluva's sooner! A perfect amount of cushion in the mid and outsole all while still being able to feel and have play with the ground. Gives an all day level of comfort while still not sacrificing the feel and mobility of being barefoot. These are good for anyone looking to strengthen their feet and connect in a way with the ground that they may not have before.
Also, I used the foot scanner to find my size and went a half size up from what I would typically wear and they fit perfect.

New
These are my new golf shoes. I've been wearing peluvas for cross training and decided to try them on the range. Now I'm walking 9 holes in them and I'm enjoying the experience.
* love the bolo like laces- would be great if the other styles came with this option
* suggest wearing socks

Love the fit actually it frees my bunions from being cramped. The color wasn’t what I wanted multiple colors would be ideal. The green sold out way to fast.

Another winner.
This is my third pair of Peluvas and these may be my favorites. First two pairs were strands but when they offered a more hiking focused shoe I was all over it. Normally I'm not a fan of the Bolo laces (or whatever they're called) but these work just fine. And they even have a neat clip on the pull tab that hooks on your laces to keep it from bouncing around, or having to be tucked and tied off somewhere.
Response from Peluva
Thanks for the great review, Nathan! We're happy to hear the Strand ATRs are a standout in your Peluva collection. It's awesome that the added details are working well for you!

Great shoe!
I returned a pair of Women’s Strand ATR’s and got the size 8 in Men’s! Great fit and so far, they are holding up well!
Response from Peluva
Thanks, Sherri! We're glad the Men's size worked out and that you're enjoying the fit and durability. Appreciate your feedback!

How I found Peluva
This one is a little long for a review but I hope it helps people out if you may be a little skeptical about This brand or even this style of shoe.
So about 15 years ago I had a really bad foot injury that took almost a year to heal up. About 6 months later after I healed up I was finally able to walk around no problem on my foot with no issues. Then roughly five years after that my foot and ankle would start to cramp up so bad every night when I went to sleep that when I woke up in the morning it would be painful to put on my socks and then I would have to stretch my feet out for a good ten to fifteen minutes just to be able to put my boots on to go to work but even then walking around at work my feet still ached for most of the day. I had no clue what was going on with my feet so I started doing my own research because I didn’t want to pay all kinds of money on custom molded soles or inserts for my feet that I felt would only mask the problem which I just want to say is my own opinion. So with all the research I was doing brought me to another brand of toe shoes because Peluva was not around yet. And I will tell you they helped me out a lot. Within a month or two of time wearing them my feet stopped hurting because I was stretching and strengthening them with every step I took.
Fast forward to now. The one thing I hated the most about the other brand of shoe is they are not designed to be on pavement and concrete but more for training and trails so your heel and feet after awhile start to really ache unless you’re on more natural ground.
Let’s fast forward to present time.
One day I was scrolling through Facebook and Peluva popped up I watched the add didn’t think much about it kept on scrolling and then on another add I saw Mark say that they were true Zero drop but with a thick foam midsole which then caught my attention because I could walk more comfortably on both pavement and concrete.
So then I started doing more research on Peluva and watched more of Marks adds about Peluva on YouTube and how he was talking about his research on feet and mobility and was talking about a lot of the research I remember looking up plus a lot more and the design and description of his shoes and why. I was then sold on them and bought a pare of the green Strand ATR and I’m glad I did. I wear them everywhere they are so comfortable really flexible and honestly super lightweight.
I read their reviews and decided not to go a half size larger but to go with my true size 12. Even with wearing thicker Marano wool toe socks they fit perfectly and are not to snug but perfect. I have not yet had a chance to take them hiking yet on some of Maine’s mountainous trails yet but I’m sure they will hold up. I will let you know.
Response from Peluva
Thanks so much for sharing your journey, Andrew. We're honored Peluvas are part of your recovery and helping you stay pain-free on hard surfaces. It means a lot that you took the time to share your experience. We look forward to hearing how they perform on the trails!

Fantastic Decision
Been wearing these for a week, lots of walking and hiking. I normally wear a size 13 running shoe. I sized up to a fourteen and they fit perfectly. When I first got them I thought they looked a little strange , however now that I have gotten used to them I think they look fine. They feel great on my feet. Very comfortable and I can feel my feet getting stronger day by day.
Response from Peluva
Thanks for the great feedback, Joseph! We're glad the size 14 worked out and that you're already feeling the benefits. It's amazing how quickly comfort and foot strength can improve. Enjoy the journey!

Extraordinary
10/10 recommend! Perfect amount of cushion for optimal comfort without compromising control. I’m a 10/10.5 and should have gotten an 11.
Response from Peluva
Thanks, Brett! We're glad you're loving the comfort and control. Sizing up to 11 sounds like a great call. Feel free to reach out to support@peluva.com if you'd like help with an exchange.

comfortable
very comfortable from the very beginning. I wish they were a little more water resistant as walking in moist grass quickly seeped moisture into my toes. I got the same size as I normally wear and the toes feel a little snug, but not enough to return. I don't know if the next size would feel too loose. But they are great otherwise.
Response from Peluva
Thanks for the feedback, Willem! We're glad the Strand ATR felt comfortable right away. They are designed to be water-resistant, but not fully waterproof, so moisture from wet grass can sometimes sneak in. If you ever decide to try a half size up for a roomier toe fit, feel free to reach out to support@peluva.com and we’d be happy to assist!

A good fit for a new mode of footwear.
The material and flex of these are on point, I have pretty big, pretty wide, and pretty flat feet. I've always been a little bit more agile while bare foot, and these let me truly capitalize on that when I wear them. If you want a decently "Off road" zero drop toe shoe, these are a good pick.
Tiny warning, they say you can wear these with or without socks. I recommend WITH socks, as a slight issue I experienced is that I believe the top is made of kevlar and is really durable, but the inside seams of that kevlar/fabric edge started to wear my right foot raw in two places on top of my toes. It might soften over time but it also might not, regardless, I exchanged for 1/2 size up and now wear them with socks and its fantastic.
Response from Peluva
Thanks for the detailed review, Sean! We're glad the Strand ATRs are supporting your natural movement and agility. Great tip on wearing socks, your feedback on the materials and fit is super helpful. Appreciate your support and insight!

Comfortable
Fit is good I ordered a half size bigger than I normally do not sure if that was the right choice because except for my big toe my other4 have to much room so I guess time will tell.
Response from Peluva
Thanks for sharing, Noah! Sizing can take a little trial and error, but your toes will likely adjust with more wear. If the fit doesn’t feel right over time, feel free to reach out to support@peluva.com, we’re happy to help with an exchange.

Feel Great! 👍
I love these shoes! I bought a pair of lightweight trainers from Peluva and decided I wanted to get some outdoor shoes that were more suited for dirt and such and these shoes are great for that! The only problems I had were that I’m pretty active and when I took these on pavement for some off field soccer the tread quickly deteriorated so learn from my mistakes and keep you’re active work in these of the concrete. 😅 These shoes do fit a little bit looser around some of the toes than the lightweight trainers but after a few days I got used to them and they feel great! 👍 Thanks Peluva!!
Response from Peluva
Thanks for the thoughtful review, Josiah! We're glad you're loving the Strand ATR and how they perform outdoors. They’re definitely best suited for trails and uneven terrain rather than heavy use on pavement, so your insight is super helpful. We appreciate your support and hope you continue enjoying your Peluvas!
