Awesome shoes!

Pleasantly surprised

I had been searching for running shoes to help me since I am an overweight person with wide flat feet or duck feet as I called them when I happened to come across Peluva. After a bit of research decided to try them. I’m very glad I did because I’ve noticed that they have assisted me in running for longer periods of times without pain in my feet. I was also greatly surprised at how comfortable they were without any real cushion. While the price tag is high for somethings that is not so much of a high end/known name brand, I do feel that they’re very worth it and will slowly but surely be buying more pairs… highly recommend giving them a try if you are curious about them

Ivan C.· February 20, 2026

Response from Peluva

Ivan, this is great to hear. Especially that you are running longer with less foot pain even without a ton of cushion. Appreciate the honest note on price too, and really glad they are feeling worth it.

Promotes better natural foot motion

Better fit than those old Vibram soled 5-toe shoes of a few years back.

Michael G.· February 20, 2026

Response from Peluva

Love hearing that, Michael. If these are fitting better than your older toe shoes, that is exactly the experience we’re aiming for. Enjoy that natural foot motion.

The change is awesome!

My ATRs have caused some great changes in my posture, strengthen my feet and stopped the pain in them. They Helped alleviate my knee pain, and I notice my gate is stronger.

Best

These are my favorite shoes now. Takes a little bit of practice, putting them on, but you'll slowly get the hang of it more and more. I have been wearing barefoot shoes for several years now. And the toes being separated in these gives it even more of a natural field to your foot mobility, and after several years of wearing very minimal barefoot shoes, I started to realize walking on concrete all the time was hurting my back. That's when I heard about how it's important to have some cushion if you're not just walking on earth. When I first put these on, they instantly made my back feel much better. I still feel like there's plenty of mobility, but the cushion protects my feet against the concrete They're so comfortable that I don't want to take them off.

David D.· February 17, 2026

Response from Peluva

David, this is an incredible review. We’re especially glad the added cushion helped your back on concrete while still keeping the mobility and toe freedom you want. And yes, getting them on really does get easier with practice. Thanks for sharing all that detail.

Excellent Everyday Use

About two months in with this pair and they are holding up great. The outsole grip is FANTASTIC. My fist pair were the Strand Lightweight Trainers. Compared to those, the ATR are run a bit larger because the material is thinner, but they are much more breathable. Something to keep in mind for first-time buyers. I use the ATR five days a week, 9 hours a day, and they perform excellently. I recently took them on a trip to Costa Rica and they were great for hiking and trail running. Instead of a traditional laces, they have those sliding clips. I'm curious to see how they hold up in the long run. My experience with them on other shoes is that over time they are unable to remain tight. If that happens here, though, I'll just replace them with regular laces. Overall, they are comfortable, durable, and look great.

Amazing!

I have had knee issues for years, in fact I've had 7 knee surgeries. I didn't realize just how much traditional athletic shoes were contributing to my knee pain. Within a few weeks of wearing my Peluva's every day, my knee pain is almost completely gone. I love these shoes! I recommend them to everyone who asks about them, and a lot of people ask!

James R. D.· February 10, 2026

Response from Peluva

James, after seven knee surgeries, that kind of relief is incredible to hear. We are so grateful you shared that. It is amazing what proper foot positioning can do up the chain.

Trying to cure my PF.

I have been at whits in with doctors, shoes, insoles, and prescription insoles. The custom ones absolutely made my plantar fasciitis. So this is a last ditch effort to fix my problems. Obviously toes are gonna have to get tougher and stronger. I have been using toe socks for some time to help with corns and toe pain as well as use toe spacers so I’m used to the spreading. But I just started these last week. Unfortunately work won’t approve them so I wear to work and home that’s about it. I did my first convention this weekend to really test them as far standing and walking on carpet. They did great toes are sore after a few hours but overall I have more control and balance I need. Not sure if it’ll help fix or I need time I’m also flat footed and didn’t have as much of the pain I normally do.

Robert L.· February 10, 2026

Response from Peluva

Robert, we really appreciate you sharing your journey. Plantar fasciitis can be incredibly frustrating, especially after trying so many options. It is encouraging to hear you felt better control, balance, and less of your usual flat foot pain during the convention. Toe soreness early on is very common as those muscles wake up. Gradual build up is key. We hope over time you continue to see progress and relief.

Rehab Journey

Medically retired early after of years of service due to mobility and sensitivity problems in back and legs due to several failed back surgeries. I have been working on my rehab for many years since my honorable discharge. Looking forward to tKing my journey in a new direction to increase mobility and performance in my lower extremities as well as pain reduction. First few days have been great. Exhausting for sure changing the parameters that my feet have come accustomed to after 40 years of poor shoes. Excited to see where the training leads from here.

DAVID M.· February 8, 2026

Response from Peluva

David, thank you for your service and for sharing your rehab journey. We truly respect the work you are putting in. It is great to hear the first few days have been positive, even if exhausting. Wishing you continued progress and mobility gains.

Vibrams to Peluva

Been wearing Vibram 5 fingers for 15 years and wanted something with a little more cushion for walking, but still had the stability control using the toes. So far these Strand ATR's help my walking and I feel I can go further more comfortably. Might be because I am approaching 70 years of age...

John M. E.· January 30, 2026

Response from Peluva

Thanks, John! Great to hear the ATRs are helping you walk more comfortably.

Great shoe

Just like my other ones i have. Fits nice and very comfy. The one thing not sure of is the laces. Never had this kind before. I am just being picky most likely. I will give it time.

Thanks, Tony! Glad you’re enjoying the comfort, appreciate your note about the laces.

Love them!

I wear these all day. Most comfortable shoes I own. And they have almost completely healed my fasciitis. I love the looks they get from people. They are shocked when the see them but its always a positive response. Long days on my feet are enjoyable again. Thank you Peluva,
