Feel great
Feeling great so far! I usually don't wear shoes around the house, but I have been to get used to these shoes. Now that I'm more used to them, I've been continuing to wear them around the house because they feel so nice.
The only downside I've noticed is that they are very hot. I've had to take them off from time to time to air them out and cool off my feet.
I’ve used them for a couple weeks now and still getting used to them! I think I will end up liking them a lot, but if I’m gonna do any running, I still use my running shoes! Maybe eventually I can use these if I’m going to run! I put about 20 miles a week on them for the last two weeks!
Thanks for giving them a solid trial run! Transitioning to minimalist shoes takes time, and it’s great you’re easing in while still getting solid mileage. Sounds like you’re well on your way to loving them even more.

Trainers
I have cross over toe. This helps. I’m m using them at home and for strength and yoga training.
Wore there twice all day. No foot pain. Which i do have with most shoes. These are light weight. Easy to put on. I will try them for a few mo ths. Might try another style. They're not good for any rough outdoor terrain. Twigs and pine needles go through the fabric and between toes.
Thanks for the feedback, Alicia! We're glad they're helping with foot pain and feeling comfortable. For rougher terrain, a more rugged model like the Strand ATR may be a better fit.

Still new
Things are still new , slowly seeing how they work for me.
Love to wear everywhere I can, but the insides seem to be wearing out after only three weeks. I can enjoy my short walks, because my hips don’t ache and my body feels aligned. My tips of toes feel sore after long walks, so I will need to go up in size for the next pair.
Love how comfortable these shoes are. I wear them for long walks and for leg day’s at the gym. Just wish I liked the look of the toe shoes more. Feels like walking barefoot!
Thanks for the feedback, Heidi! We're glad the Strand Lightweight Trainer is keeping you comfortable during walks and workouts. Totally understand the look isn’t for everyone, but that barefoot feel makes a big difference!

Unexpected
It hadn’t occurred to me when I ordered that these might not work for me, but I would have been wrong. I have MS and drop foot. The toes on that foot have reduced feeling and blood flow. The first day, Cramming those toes into the shoe was almost impossible and with each day easier and I think the blood flow to those toes has greatly increased. I’m using them when I’m on the treadmill.
Thank you for sharing your experience, Shelley! We're so glad the Strand Lightweight Trainer is working for you and even helping with blood flow. Adjusting to toe shoes can take time, but it’s great to hear they’re getting easier to wear each day. Wishing you continued comfort and success with them on the treadmill!

Love the idea!
I understand the value of barefoot training a a fitness instructor and trainer for over 35 yrs. I have been using these, but got blisters on both heels the very first day so now am wearing band aids to walk with them. Not sure if it’s a fabric or fit issue but will stick it out awhile longer as I know it’s not good to always be in “corrected” footwear!
The fit of the shoe is comfortable for width and toe spacing. Challenging to get on, but this is a lace up style, so I can loosen / open the shoe to fit my hand in on top of the foot to help guide the toes into place.
Takes some practice and patience
Thank you, Marie, for sharing your experience! We’re glad to hear the fit and toe spacing are comfortable. Getting the toes aligned can take a bit of practice, but it sounds like you’ve found a good technique with the lace-up style. We appreciate your patience and hope they continue to provide great support for you! 😊

I feel the difference
Great shoes, the only thing is that I got really bad blisters.
If your second toe is your longest, order a full size larger than what the foot scanning app measures. The app apparently measures for a foot where the big toe is longest. The Strand is very comfortable and is overall a beautiful shoe.
The issue is that the top center of the heel collar has a bump that caused a red mark on my ankle after wearing for just a few minutes inside. After reading the review about the shoe rubbing a bleeding blister from the exact same defect, it confirmed to me that the same outcome would be inevitable. I will unfortunately be returning the Strand. I am hopeful that in a year or so Peluva will resolve this issue with the heel collar so I can give this shoe another try. I was disappointed with this issue because the shoe was otherwise incredibly comfortable and perfect in every other way. I did keep my Zen Suede Slip-On, which is my favorite shoe I own. Due to the material, there is no heel collar issue and it is amazingly comfortable.
Bought these for my teen - this is what she had to say : A thicker sole than I was expecting , however, this is my first pair of barefoot shoes so that may be the norm. I love the toe spread-ability and the overall feel of the shoe. I will definitely recommend these. (She’s got me convinced)
The pink was a lot more fuschia and less salmon-y than I thought it would be from the photos, but I’m okay with that. My feet are 24.5-24.8 cm long and 10.5 cm wide, and the Peluva 9.5 size was a decent fit. Not wide enough but the cloth gives way enough to be comfortable. I am enjoying working my toes, how grippy they are, and was surprised that the stack height feels great, as I normally prefer a more minimalist feel. I would love more choices in terms of width and stack height. I would also love a cotton or canvas option for a more natural feel. Overall, though, very comfy, I’m glad I purchased them, and they’re now my everyday shoes.
Love everything about them minus the material. The polyester makes my feet sweat like crazy!! Would love to have a wool or leather variety and wouldn’t mind the extra cost…
I love them, comfortable, easy to put on, correcting my unbalanced hips, fixing my feet…..on and on! However, they stink! I have tried shoe spray, and medicated foot powder. They still stink every time and they make my feet stink. I have never had this (and still don’t) with any other shoes, sandals, slippers, socks, flip flops I have had on my 70+ year old feet! Please make some better stink-proof inside for these wonderful shoes and I will wear nothing else!
I am grateful there is finally a shoe that eliminates the pain my neuroma causes. With the spread of my toes, the nerve between my foot bones does not get pinched, and I feel no pain walking. Also it helps my balance because spreading the toes makes the shoe wider and more stable. The sole has enough cushioning for walking on asphalt.
HOWEVER, THE SHAPE OF THE SHOE NEEDS IMPROVEMENT‼️ This shoe is shaped for people with wide feet and short toes, basically Asian feet. Please consider the European shaped foot, and make two versions for every size.
They seemed awesome when I put them on, well built and comfy. Unfortunately they were too small. I wear an 11 in every shoe I own, but these did not fit. Unfortunately, that is their biggest size. I have not had luck in men's sizes before as I have a narrow foot. I am deciding whether to try the men's. Return process was easy so far, but I have not received my money back yet.
So far, I’m liking the Peluva Strand. I am not new to barefoot/minimalist shoes, but I am new to toe shoes, and I definitely had to adjust to the feeling. First wear felt very odd, but second much longer wear felt more natural and comfortable. I really do enjoy these shoes and they look very stylish, but quality could use a little improvement when compared to the price.
