This footwear is super light with much better traction than my moccasins. A standard 6' boot on uneven terrain is very unsteady for me as I have Guillain-Barre but this shoe is a dream when I use it with trekking poles. One size over my normal is about right. Will keep an eye out for a sale to add an extra pair.

Men's Strand ATRI bought these because of all the ads I've been seeing, tho I was extremely skeptical about them. I was fully prepared for them to be more of a gimmick and would end up using them as water shoes if they sucked. Well, lo and behold, they are actually really great shoes! They are very comfy given they have minimal insoles. I never noticed how much i actually depended on rigged outsoles to to counterbalance my quick and agile movements instead of using my toes or correct portion of my feet. My feet and knees definitely needed a few days to adjust, but started feeling better the more I wore them. If there's one thing I would suggest as improvement would have to be the grip texture. On dry or rough surfaces, they are great, but are super slippery on the slightest bit of slippery floors. Watch out if you go to a supermarket that constantly sprays their fresh produce area. It would be great if they had the honeycomb design like on the bottom of slip resistant shoes.
Men's Strand ATRThese are super comfortable. I originally ordered the size 15s to the 16s. The first pair were too short with my big toe hitting the end. The 16s are perfect for my big toe but they are a little long on the other toes… My pinky toe is almost not even in the place for it. They are also a little wide even with the drawstrings pulled as tight as possible. Other than that I love them and hope to get a few more pairs. Hope they make an option for a little narrower fit so I don’t have to pull the draw strings so tight. The video below shows how much extra room is in the toe spots except the pinky toe spot.
My fist pair was a men’s size 8.5 (1/2 size larger than recommended) I chose men’s because I read somewhere that the toe box is a little wider than women’s. I’m really glad I did because I like the feeling in the toe box. But the 8.5 didn’t have enough room in the big toe box and they were too snug with socks. So for this pair, I ordered men’s again and chose size 9. They fit excellent! Here’s what I like about this pair: I like the colour, I like the extra big toe room, and how great they feel with socks on. Here’s what I don’t like: the laces type and colour. These laces make these quite expensive shoes look cheap. I’d give them a 5 star if the laces were a black or complementary green and the same type of laces as the first pair that I bought.
Men's Strand ATRI work out barefoot in my home gym, I bought these for outdoor work out activities. They are perfect for the purpose I bought them for. They allow my feet and toes, to be fully active. They are light, flexible, and protective enough for aggressive outside activity. They are well made. I deducted one star because 1st off, they are a pita to put on, spin how ever you want, but this is true. It does get easier but not the same as all my other shoes you can slide on in a second. Even though I did buy these to specifically do outdoor workouts, I have not found them to be versatile for other situations. I work on my feet and traverse various surfaces, I have not found them comfortable for me. These are not the shoes I would grab to run errands. Another note specific to my feet, I found them to be very tight across the top of the foot. I have to wear them with laces loosened to capacity and the sides will buckle a little. They do still fit and feel fine otherwise, and are secure. I ordered 1/2 size larger than I usually wear.

Men's Strand ATRI have wide feet with a tailor's bunion on the little toe, and I have a history of plantar's fasciitis. No shoes I wore felt good, and at the end of the day my feed hurt so much. Everything was too narrow (even men's shoes!) and crunched my toes. I was doing the Fred Sanford walk anytime I got up. I got my Peluva Strand ATRs, men's size 9 ( I normally wear about an 8 in mens) two days before leaving for a trip to Spain. On that trip, I walked on average 18,000 steps a day for 2 weeks in these shoes and my feet have never felt better. I traversed everything from cobblestone streets to mountains, to damp caves all in comfort and with the traction of a mountain goat. I could feel everything under me (but comfortably!) and grip with my toes. These shoes are amazing. I went for a run one day, and put on my old running shoes. Yilkes! The next day my feet were killing me. Actually, the only time my feet hurt now are when I put on my old running shoes. Even if I am using them as work shoes in the yard, my feet will start hurting. The next run I tried in my Peluvas; no pain at all. Felt amazing! I couldn't believe it! I could not be happier with these shoes! I now own 4 pair. Things to note: *Size up a size if you are not used to toe shoes. *Get some toe socks. *Your feet will forget about something being in between your toes, it becomes so normal. *Be ready to tell everyone about these shoes because they will ask and you will definitely want to tell them! *Buy an extra pair in a different color so you can wear them with ANYTHING!
Great shoe for my needs
Men's Strand ATRI’ve been running in the standard peluvas for months now and they’ve been great, but I needed something more rugged and with more traction. Not only does these fit the bill, they are so much more comfortable on the trails, especially down hill. I usually put 5-10 miles at a time and these feel great the whole way. Also, the built in lock laces are a big bonus!
Men's Strand ATRThe Men's Strand ATR are excellent on my feet and I love the look of them. Hopefully they make black soles optional of all the different color shoes. But that's just a me thing I love black soles.
Men's Strand ATRThis is my third pair. After getting these shoes,wearing normal shoes doesn't even feel right anymore. From physical activity to casual wear, this is it for me. Now Peluva just needs to broaden their color palate. Some dark blue some red on the mens collection. 🙂

Men's Strand ATRYou can get a new size super easy but use the tools I went to big i usually wear boots 12.5 eee so I went 13 thinking I could need the space but even a wide foot fits in a 12 maybe I could of get the 12.5 but I think the 12 will break in perfectly

Men's Strand ATRI've only worn mine once so far and other then the struggle of getting used to having toe slots I have enjoyed the feeling of freedom for my feet. I definitely recommend them to my friends and family. I am usually barefoot but can't wait to wesr them again.

Men's Strand ATRWhat can I say but now I only own Peluvas, gladly offloaded my altras and no looking back whatsoever! These shoes are outstanding. I love the white minimalistic ones. Excited to see the new versions with the new branding. Glad I went up a size on these like I did on my mesh version typically wear 11.5 in altras 12.5 feel amazing. Fan for life and excited to see more natural soles and fabrics used please get away from polyester!
