I bought these shoes hoping they would help with the Morton’s neuroma pain I feel wearing most other shoes. These have been very comfortable and I have had no pain. I am planning to hike with them when the snow melts and am hoping they will stand up to the trails. I have to be careful that the socks are on without any bunching or the shoes will rub my toes. They are not warm enough for Wisconsin winter weather but they have been fine on warmer days. They feel secure and have good traction. Very happy with my purchase. I normally wear a 9 1/2 in womens shoes and purchased a 10 1/2 which is a perfect fit.
For 25 years I was wearing one and a half size is too small of shoes and had crunched up toes wearing running shoes that lifted my toes off the ground. Doing all kinds of activities, while binding my feet not knowing that I was ruining my whole body structure. I ended up with really bad plantar fasciitis in my left foot for two years. I have done since stopped running and gave up any high intensity sports. I started working barefoot and wearing toe socks as much as possible. My my recovery journey has showed me that I actually wear a size 8 not a size 6 1/2 in women’s. I feel comfortable in Pelova’s and I actively work barefoot as much as possible.
I do a lot of walking, hiking, and CrossFit, and these shoes perform great in all those modalities. I love how mobile my feet feel in them, while still feeling protected.
After getting the hang of getting them on it has been a transformation in my daily walking routine. Best with toe socks
The Strand ATR adds a bit more to the footpad than a lot of other barefoot shoes. Sometimes you just need a bit more between you and those sharp edges out there.
I am a nurse and I have been wearing these more and more to work each week. My feet are slowly adapting to the toe splay🤗 I only have one negative and it’s no fault of the shoe. My toes are short and the material between my second and third toe pushes in really hard. It makes that spot pretty sore by the end of the day.
So surprised at how comfortable these shoes are. I am still getting a bit used to the look of this style but inside the house, I have been wearing them non-stop. I have some degeneration at the big toe joint that makes me shift my weight onto the little toe side when I walk but in these shoes, somehow, miraculously, the joint feels supported yet cushioned enough to place weight on it without pain or discomfort, helping my gait get back to normal. LOVE the color combination (I have the olive ones with the blue laces)!
I wish I would have bought these a long time ago. Even walking through my desert back yard for my morning mile ruck, they are great.
These shows are so cozy with the socks that I actually wore them to bed the first night. Weird thing to do with hiking shoes, I know. I’m going to buy a second pair so I can wear them every day.
Wow. Honestly, I only wish I would have gotten these sooner. They are simply amazing. Not only are my feet happier, my entire body is happier. Foot freedom, more connection to the Earth, walking as I was intended. I cannot go back to "regular" shoes again! Thank you so much!
Love this brand they are comfortable, stylish and chat provoking.
The first pair, Miami, is good but found that a half size up from my normal shoe size as recommended by other reviewers was still insufficient space for the length of my toes plus toe socks. For my next pair, the Women's Strand ATR, I purchased a half-size more than the Miami. Now, this pair of peluva is perfect. Compaairing the Strand ATR and Miami, the Miami has more cushion than the Strand ATR but the Strand ATR is comfortable to take 10,000 steps daily.
I have thoroughly enjoyed getting used to wearing my Women’s Strand ATR shoes! I can notice a difference in walking in these shoes and am grateful to understand how much more beneficial they are than wearing what I have thought were better shoes for walking!
I have only worn them once so I believe it will be 5 star worthy eventually. They are a bit scratchy in between the toes and on top of foot. That's the only negative but truly, it's minor. I really like them and hope my feet do too.
I really like them. I had no trouble adjusting to them and very little trouble getting them on, though I sometimes need to use a shoehorn to keep from rolling in the heel back. My right big toe has started turning in towards the other toes so I have little more challenge getting it on. My hope is that my Peluvas will help keep it from moving as much and keep it from rubbing against my other toe. 😊
I love these shoes! I initially ordered a half size up, but they were too big. I contacted the company, and they quickly sent me the form to get them replaced. I ordered a size 8, and they fit perfectly. Normally, I have to wear my Good Feet orthopedic inserts, but since I work out barefoot, I really wanted to try these. They felt a little strange at first, but after the second time using them on the treadmill (because it’s winter), I could really feel how my feet were working the way they’re supposed to when walking.
The bottom feels sturdy and they're comfortable to stand in. The material is soft on top. It looks as advertised. The cloth is thin which lets me readjust my toes without taking them completely off. My toes are decently flexible to do so. I can see other people having a time until their toes adjust. After the first week, I could tell the difference when I wore my regular shoes again. I don't wear them often anymore. These are my regular wear now. They're a conversation piece that lets me educate people on foot health and sharing the website.
Ordered a .5 size up and they are comfortable to walk in. It didn't take too many tries for my brain and toes to work together on the fit. My left foot had no problem sliding into the toe sections. My right foot was stubborn. I mainly use this pair for short dog walks (1mi. or less) and errands. Will test to see if they will stretch overtime and feel comfortable for long distance walks. I will be getting a pair that's 1 size up for running. The additional. 5 is snug.
I have only worn these shoes a couple of times so far, and I am still getting used to the toe splay in the shoe, however, they really have made me feel lighter on my feet. I went for a ruck yesterday with my weighted vest and I could feel my whole leg working and my knees were not bearing all the weight. I can’t wait to go on my first medium trail hike with them and see how they hold up. If you are on the fence, hop off and grab a pair you will definitely be glad you did.
Im in the process of breaking the shoes in. I love how my body feels running and walking in them. Its like being more aware of what muscles are working. The seams in the toes did make my toes bleed. It made long seam cuts and I bled through the shoe which is white. Breaking in process I'm sure. The only problem I have is my 2nd toe is longer than my 1st on both feet. On my right foot the 2nd toe slot is slightly too short. I noticed at the gym that my right shoe is shorter than the left for some reason. I'm hoping they stretch a bit and adjust.
