I adore these shoes. They are amazing. I would like to get more shoes... But it is winter and I need winter boots... Was a little disappointed to find that you did not sell winter boots... Please make winter boots. It would be great to have winter boot toe shoes. Thank you very much. Very comfortable and very quick and easy to put on. I don't know what everyone was talking about with some difficulty putting them on.
Not built for rugged terrain. First day out slice open on basic rocks. Honest great in the sand but not made for rough trail running not even walking. Wasted 145$ in the first two hours of wearing.
I stayed with just the toe socks in my everyday boots to prep my feet for the Peluva experience and when my shoes arrived I’ve worn them EVERYDAY! They are helping my feet restore their natural shape and mobility. I’m extremely impressed!
These are fantastic. They definitely take some getting used to. Don’t think you’re gonna put them on the first time and instantly go on some 8-mile hike, but short hikes starting out are fantastic. I was amazed by the amount of traction on these compared to normal sneakers
I never had toe shoes and I think I’m committed after buying these. They are terrifically flexible and the feedback from the ground is amazing. Get a true size, even if you have a wide front foot like me.
These are better for long distance & hard surface running than vibrams due to better cushioning. I like Vibrams better for sprinting due to less cushioning. Overall, peluva’s are great so far. I just bought 3 more pairs of the other types. My minor complaints are: 1. Harder to put on than vibram running shoes due to a more shoe like design & stiffer soles 2. I like vibram’s velcro shoe laces better because it’s quicker to put on & off.
I am pleasantly surprised at the level of comfort these shoes provide without socks. I hope it remains when the out of stock socks arrive. Uncertain about the elastic laces. B. Davideit Onekama, MI
I have been running trails for over 30 years mostly with zero drop. Initially, I ordered 14, but had to size down to 13. First day, I ran in woods then played pickle ball in afternoon. I really like the way I can engage my toes, which I have been working in for years. .
Hey Y'all I gotta tell you. I was a bit skeptical. I have been wearing Vibram five fingers for years and I saw all of these epic reviews so... I ordered a size 11... because that's my size... Too tight between my toes, Sent it back, got an 11.5 pair. Still too much... between the toe friction... Got the 12.... Awesome fit! They do contour to your feet after a few wears so any other kinks will groove out as you stick with it. These shoes are a lot more comfy and forgiving than others I have experienced. Still have the zero drop full floor feel which is uncanny! My Invitation to save yourself time, drama and waiting. Go with the Euro sizes. 46 is my Euro Size and that is what USA size 12 is at Peluva. If you know your Euro Size... rock with that and save your self some time returning things. Learn from my trials. Peluva was really great with the exchanges but you will have to pay the return shipping every time. (Wasn't a fan of that, but I am a fan of small business so I am in support of this company!) Get this shoes. I am glad I did. Will definitely be back!
Great shoes
Overall - these are comfortable shoes with great traction. Cons - my two small toes do tend to slip out of the last toe areas, while all other toes remain securely in place. Recommendation - great gor walking, but not the best for sports.
Good
I love these shoes. I am 62, a heavy runner at 200 pounds, and have foot issues from breaking my feet over the years. One of the biggest issues I faces my toes being misaligned from being broken. Having the toes in separate sleeves makes a huge difference. I ran nearly 6 miles this afternoon on a rocky trail in New Mexico with no pain. I’m sitting here this evening still wearing them marveling at how comfortable they are. One note, I did buy the socks to go with them. Initially, I tried to wear them without the socks and they were rubbing between my feet, but socks made all the difference.
It took me a while to get used to them not hurting my toes, I can wear them almost all day long now. They still dig in between my toes, only reason I can’t wear turn all day. Otherwise I like them, feet don’t hurt as much in comparison to regular shoes.
I was worried when I first got them about how well they would work for me, but after a little time they fit beautifully and they feel better every time I get to wear them. My feet have already started to figure out how to fit into the shoe on the first try at this point. Absolutely will purchase more Peluva shoes in the future!
Loving my Peluvas! Super nice looking and fit is great. I ordered up a 1/2 size as recommended and was perfect. Looking forward to a trail run.
I recently tried Peluva shoes for the first time, and I have to say they completely surprised me. I have never worn shoes like these before, but from the moment I put them on, I was impressed by how natural and comfortable they felt. The fit encourages a more grounded stride, and after wearing them for a few days, I could really feel the difference in how my feet moved and adjusted. They are lightweight, flexible, and built with noticeable attention to quality. Peluva has definitely won me over, and these shoes are a great blend of comfort and innovation.
I really appreciate you for making these barefoot shoes. I suffer from planterfaciualitst and doctor recommended i ware a barefoot shoe so thats all i waer now. They feel like a sneaker and not like putting on a shoesock and the way they feel on my feet I can't complain. Really nice shoe and I will definitely be picking up another pair.
I’ve previously used another minimalist shoe years ago that is popular but as I have aged I wanted some cushioning. As a physical therapist, I can appreciate my Peluva shoe giving me that cushioning yet maintaining strong, proprioceptive contact with the ground. I wear them first thing in the morning and take them off before bed. To be honest, I didn’t think I would be enjoying at how comfortable they are. If I were to critique them, I would ask for another tongue shoelace loop closer to the end to reduce slippage. Otherwise, I wear no other shoe in home or going out. I get a ton of compliments and frequent questions. I’m pleased to talk about them. I plan on getting another pair for a Christmas present to me. These shoes were well thought out in creating them.
These shoes are amazing! Took a couple of days to get my pinky toes into position without some effort, but it was worth a little patience. Did some neighborhood hikes (2-4 miles) over the first couple of weeks. Tackled the Manitou Incline (~2,700 stairs). Best time ever and my feet felt great. ATR’s have just enough protection from terrain while maintaining barefoot feel! Highly recommend!
I love these shoes. I wish they were more water resistant though.
I was hesitant at first because I didn't have toe socks yet. Barefoot is nice, but after wearing them for a longer hike I got blisters on the top of my feet where the laces/tongue rub. Once I had the right socks, they felt so much better. I went to a rockier trail and found that the tread would get lots of rocks stuck, which might happen with other shoes but I could feel each place one was stuck - this is not a complaint, just something to be aware of. I would recommend this brand and shoe for anyone looking to understand their gait and habits more, while enjoying a new love for hiking with my 'bare feet'.
Listen, if you are anything at all like me... You've probably thought to yourself- toe shoes? Toe-socks? Not for me... But at 59 years of age, I grew a bit tired at the lack of mobility my feet/ toes have. While my fingers can shuffle, paint, weave, sculpt... My toes can basically just open and close... I don't like that. So now I'm experimenting trying to give my toes more wiggle- room. Like any journey- it starts someplace, and Peluva was a very fine starting line.
