Women’s Strand ATRTakes a little longer to get on than my other shoes but so much more comfortable. A bit stiff right now, hoping they loosen up once broken in.
Women’s Strand ATRThese shoes exceed my expectations, although my feet are having an adjustment period. I can’t wear them for long periods of time yet. This was a big change for my 62 year old feet. But I am hopeful they will help me overall. I really like lifting weights with them on as they are much better than running shoes or narrow lifting shoes.
Women’s Strand ATRI have been wearing Hoka's for years. I just recently bought a pair of Peluva's to see how they felt. I wear a size 7 so I bought a 7 1/2 and I wear organic cotton toes socks with the Peluva shoes. Peluva's are very comfortable and I like how my foot is moving more. for the first few weeks my feet were a little sore and after I got use to them it is hard going back in my Hoka's. My feet have never sweated and never sweat in my Hoka's and I have to say the only thing Negative about the Peluva's is they make my feet sweat alot!! and I wear organic cotton socks with them. I dont know why these shoes make my feet sweat and I have read other peoples reviews that wear Peluva's their feet sweat too.
Women’s Strand ATRLove the color but didn't relize the sole was so firm. So I ended up with doing a exchange for a different style and softer sole. Otherwise this style itself is durable.. cute... as well as relief of anxiety about shoes.. as in a standard shoe my feet would feel trapped which led me to disliking both shoes and socks as I feel more free when I am barefoot and when I tried these on I was walking around inside the house and would go from 9am to bedtime 930 10 ish pm forgetting that I had shoes on till I went to get ready for bed🙃 I am very thankful to have found a tennis shoe I could wear and still allow my feet to feel free and not trapped in a shoe... as in reality if you need to run a errand its against the law to drive barefoot as well as against store policy to walk around public buildings barefoot 🙃 they are even comfortable to wear on the motorcycle. The first foot Pic of my right foot was before I tried paluva shoes as you can see swelling and angled or more curved toes... the one of my left foot is after just the trial period but about a week or so and already my foot doesn't swell and my toes began to straighten to there national position.❤️ Now I was at a craft store over hear another adult woman mention how odd and weird my shoes were i just ignored and didn't respond and her teen daughter about 16/17 looked at her mom and said mom its a style and as I kept to myself it made my heart feel joyful knowing not everyone judges out feet and what we wear..... but others do notice our shoe appearance 🙃🙃🙃
Beautiful in the lavender color. Probably didn't need the larger size (9 instead of previously 8.5). I believe the ATR sizes bigger than all the other pairs of Peluvas I got. My favorite pair so far. They still wear out fast. My previous ATR shoes got wholes in soles at the ball of the feet after a 10 miles hike on gravely trail, which makes them expensive to replace that fast. Still best out there on the market presently.
Women’s Strand ATRLove the color and the design! Feel good when walking! Highly recommend!!
Women’s Strand ATRThe shoes are comfortable after. Used them at home only to start breaking them in. Went in a 5 mile walk after a week and felt good. I can notice how I’m getting stronger throughout finding my imbalances in my body. Adjustment and proper care is key . Sizing is good with socks. But, I still wonder if I should be a 1/2 size smaller. No socks I have a finger + gap. Not sure how they should really feel. Yet after walk or workout with natural foot expansion they feel good. So I have to think overall I have the right size. I’m building up on my walking distance. Walking in grass and natural surfaces I feel real good. Concrete as with most shoes I feel more tired or sore. So far I think they are doing good.
Women’s Strand ATRComing from using vibram finger shoes, these shoes are taking more adjustment than anticipated. Began with the ordering. The site says to order up a size. What they mean is not a US shoe size, but a cm size. So it took 3 tries to get it right. The correct size for me came yesterday. I really like the sole feel. Satisfying foot bed. Haven't gotten used to the toe fit yet. Wish there was a touch more room in the laces to get my feet in...but once they stretch a bit, I think they will be fine. Looking forward to breaking them in. :)
Women’s Strand ATRI have had barefoot shoes before, but never a "toe shoe_ and was excited to try these. I'm a pretty solid 8.5 with short toes. The 41 fits great, though my pinky toe slips out once in a while when on an incline. Pros: Very comfortable. Super easy to get on. Thick soles feel great on the trail. Not slippery. Socks fit great, too! Cons: I expected these rugged trail shoes to be at least water resistant. Just walking across a mossy trail my feet were soaked. I live in Western Washington, so damp trails are the norm. And I'm disappointed at how the toe compartments chewed up the socks after just one wear.
Caveat for the 4 stars: Please make the tread more hearty! and the pull on tab on the back. I walk in my Strand ATR's (mostly on fine gravel trails and grass) anywhere from 1/2 hr. to 2 hours a day and sprint in them 3-4 x a week. These are my go-tos. I am currently on my 3rd pair in this style because I am finding the tread wears out for me quite quickly and when it gets down to a certain point my heels start hurting. Also I have had the pull-on tab on the back break off on my first 2 pairs within 1-2 months. It seems the stitching might not be so secure or else maybe I'm just too rough on my gear. None the less, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this style the best for what I am doing and my feet are so happy. I get so many people stopping me asking about them so they've also become a conversation piece. Thank you and please consider a heartier tread and tabs! Also, I'm a true 7.5 but always wear 8 in Peluva. Some people I know have to size up one whole size because of longer toes and such but if you have short, stumpy toes like me, I find a half size up is perfect.
Women’s Strand ATRReally hard to get on yet very comfortable once on.
Women’s Strand ATRNice shoes and I like wearing them. Haven't noticed any differences in how my feet feel, etc. but I like them just fine. I wear them walking in my local area which is mountainous. Will buy a pair for my sister in law who does have plantar factitious, as soon as they have another sale. Full price is too high. Hope they will make a great difference for her.
Women’s Strand ATRI love the Peluva lightweight trainer, so I thought I will get the ATR for hiking purposes. These provide better and more solid support underfoot, but are stiffer and less comfortable than the lightweight trainers.
Women’s Strand ATRI really like this shoe. I like it better than my other pair of Peluva's. They're easier to get on in the toes. What I don't like is the reflecting tape on the shoe. I wanted black on black to be as inconspicuous as possible in order to wear them with dress slacks for work. Adding the reflective, tape is a negative for me.
Women’s Strand ATRSo far I really like these shoes. The chat person told me to get a bigger size than normal and I was hesitant but ended up listening to her and getting a 9. I have never worn a 9 in my life. My regular shoe size is 71/2 and my running shoe is an 81/2 but they fit just right. Only thing I would change is maybe the back of the heal so when you put these shoes on it doesn't collapse as much and would be easier to slip the shoes on.
Women’s Strand ATRThis is my second pair of Peluva's (love my strand sport mesh!) and I have to say that the tread is great. However, the foot opening is quite small because of the elastic laces, making it a real chore for those of us with high arches/insteps. It would've been nice to include a pair of regular laces so that I can open the shoe more to get my "high volume" foot into it. Also, the 2nd toe on the left shoe doesn't lay flat. I don't have this issue with my sport mesh so I'm wondering if this is a quality issue with this shoe/batch. They are great once I get them on my foot, but when these wear out I will not replace them with the same model.
Women’s Strand ATRElastics are little problematic but I love the shoes!
Women’s Strand ATRThe material is not canvas, cotton or any other soft material, It feels like plastic. I hope they feel better by softening up, when I wear them. I am kind of disappointed but I love my other Peluva's, so hopefully, I will love these too after wearing them.
Women’s Strand ATRThe shoes are nice yet the fall/winter season is coming in rather quickly so i wont get to try them out until the end of Spring/ early Summer. NOT winter hiking shoes. I will follow -up
Women’s Strand ATRIt takes about five minutes to get the shoes on the first few times but gets easier. The inside under the toe area is a little rough but with the toe socks it's fine. Order one full size bigger than your normal size. I tried half a size bigger & had to exchange them. They have definitely made a difference in my feet/toes. It's hard to explain but my steps feel more stable. They are light & don't feel like they are worth the cost. But if they last, they're are!
While it is slightly big, I feel after a few washes that may change. These feel light, comfortable, yet still protect me from sharp rocks and slippery surfaces. Good grip.
Women’s Strand ATRI love how they help my body. The only problem is if you don’t wear socks the stitching on the inside will press into your feet. It caused cuts on my toes. But I wear socks now and they are great.
Women’s Strand ATRGlad to receive these- looking forward to hiking in them!
