I like the shoes! They are comfortable and provide a bit more padding on the sole. Was hoping for it to be a little less, but it does keep me out of small puddles. Shoes are definitely not waterproof, but they dry fast. I will probably slowly replace my entire wardrobe to this brand.
It's a good feel, it's comfortable and flexible. I'm not sure how good the sizing is because I'm pretty snug in the toe, I'm assuming as it breaks in it will fit just right.
They are really good, personally I think they should be $80 to $90, but i might be stuck in the days of skeletoes that were $45. These have a bit more cushion than the Vivo barefoot. The bottom seem sturdy but the mesh between the toes seem very light for being a high wear and tear area. Great for long jumps and lunges, doesn't really cut into your skin. Comfy enough that I've forgotten to take my shoes off twice.
Glad they’ve been comfortable and working well for your workouts! We appreciate the honest feedback on price and durability.

Strength, from the bottom, up.
As a longtime strength
coach, and a barefoot footwear lover, I have almost exclusively good things to say about the Peluva. Comfortable, stylish, good snug fit, devoid of fancy colors, and a subdued logo. One of my favorite things about these shoes is the ability to truly toe off when walking or doing loaded carries. Really helps engage the posterior musculature. My only knock, as a barefoot footwear snob, is that I would love them, personally, to have a thinner sole. That said, for the person who is transitioning from traditional footwear to barefoot footwear, these are a great mid-range step.
Thanks for the thoughtful feedback—we’re glad you’re enjoying the fit, comfort, and function overall. We appreciate the note on the sole thickness.

Cant tell quite yet whether I like these or not. My pinky toe doesnt feel right and they might be a tidge too small but Im willing to give them a chance. I wear a size 10 and ordered a 10.5. Im thinking I should have ordered a size 11, we’ll see.
Initially purchased using the sizing tool at the website. Shoes were extremely snug and very difficult to get on. Watched some of the very helpful videos and still determined that shoes were too small. Returned and got next size up. Return was easy and replacement shoes came relatively quick. Fit was much better and videos were very helpful in understanding how shoes went on. Still getting used to this type of shoe, but my feet feel great.
Michael, thank you for giving them another shot. We’re so glad the exchange was easy and the new size feels much better.

First pair
I will be using these shoes to try and get the use back in my toes. With my feet locked in regular shoes for 40 years it is shocking what it feels like to have my foot move like it should. The hard part is how they look. It is hard to adjust to. My wife hates them, but she knows what they are made for. She just won’t be seen in public with me. I’m excited to keep using them when the weather warms up and get a feel for daily use. Excited for the way my body has already woken up a littLe bit from wearing them. The app told me to get 12’s but my guess is that 11.5 is best based on how much room my smaller toes have.
Glad they’re feeling good overall, Keenan. Hope that pinky toe irritation settles as they break in.

Relief For My Tired Feet
95% of the time I've worn shoes over the past 16 years they have been Vibram Five-finger shoes with 2-4mm of "cushion". At one point I had 30 pair!
As a dog groomer, I stand for hours at a time, sometimes on hard surfaces. This was never a problem until recently. At 60 years old, my plantar fascia (the thick, fibrous, and inelastic connective tissue on the sole of the foot that extends from the heel bone to the toes) has been causing me a lot of pain by the end of a workday.
My new Strand Sport Mesh (SMM) allow me to keep the shoe form I've become accustomed to with 9mm of cushion giving my tired feet some much needed relief! If you are already used to the form-fitting design of VFF it's easy to switch to Peluva. They are slightly bulkier/stiffer than VFF, but are still lightweight and provide some ground feel. I normally wear an EU43 in VFF so I opted for a US size 10. With socks the SSM fit okay, but are a tiny bit large. If I push my toes fully forward there is a little bit of space at the heal. I think that's because the Peluva shoe has a bit more structure to it where as VFF is more elastic and hug the foot. Without socks, or with super thin socks, the SSM would be too big for me. I might try a US 9.5 for my next pair.
The only concern I have is the durability of the nylon(?) eyelets of the SSM. I worry that the sawing action of tightening the laces may wear them out prematurely. Time will tell. I prefer the standard hole punch eyelets of the Strand ATR.
Joseph, this is an excellent, detailed review. Love the comparison to VFF and the explanation of why the added cushion helps you as a groomer on hard surfaces. The note about structured fit, sock thickness, and the eyelet durability concern is super useful.
Love to hear it, Charles. Stylish and a glove-like fit is exactly what we aim for. Thanks for the review.

Weird buy great
These are objectively a strange looking shoe. I knew they would be but in person man they're odd. That being said I love wearing them. They do take a bit of getting used too but after a few days you get the hang of how to put them on. These are my everyday shoe for just going to the store or working out. They're a little thin on the sole which that's by design but for me personally they're not good for hiking for that reason. I step on a tree root or a rock I really feel it. I prefer my Ascics for trails or even just jogging. Other than that they're great they're super lightweight and after a little while you almost forget you even have them on. They're odd but I love them
Thanks, Jonathan! Glad you gave them a chance and found a rhythm with them.

1st time buying`
Quality looks greate, specifically the bottom of the shoe, they r a little expensive, regarding the materials, good quality but nothing different than the usual (i think).
Thanks for the honest feedback, Jamie! We understand that adjustment period and appreciate the note on toe length. Your input helps us continue to improve.

Like the shoes but in between sizes
I like the shoes. I bought a 13 and they are a little tight so I thought I’d buy another pair and they’re too big…. Never had a shoe fit like that, I like them though!
Thanks for your feedback, Robert! We’re glad you like the shoes. Sizing can be tricky when you’re between sizes - your note helps us and other customers better understand the fit.

Very unique. Not the easiest to wear but suit their need
Love these shoes. They do everything they say. I prefer less stack height so I probably won’t get another pair but if you’re switching from brooks or hoka big foam running shoes, you will love the feel of these.
Glad you’re enjoying the feel of the shoes, Jason! Totally get your preference on stack height and great insight for anyone transitioning from traditional foam-heavy runners.

Comfy !
I really like my new blue mesh peluvas! They have plenty of room and they look delightfully weird! I think I’m going to get a pair of black ones next!
