Fit and Function
I have been wearing fivefingers shoes since they came on the market, but I was looking for something with a bit more sole for those more rugged hikes and these are taking care of that. The fit is excellent and the build quality appears to be top notch as far as I can tell so far. They are very lightweight and I still get enough ground feel and toe flex. I'm a fan.
That’s awesome to hear! We’re glad you’re enjoying the fit, feel, and performance.

Shoes
The shoes are great. The problem is my feet. My toes are squished up from boots and socks for fifty years and I cant hardly get my little toes in where they need to be. I’ll keep trying but my little toes are short also
Shoes are difficult to put on but it is getting easier, the biggest problem i am gaving is where the seams are and the rubbing on my toes. I hope that goes away soon, i am working through it, i have only walked about 10 miles in them this week since receiving them. Using the socks with toes stopped the rubbing, and make them easier to put on, i just ordered 2 more pairs
The Strand ATR provides the flexibility and natural structure of a 5-toe shoe while offering more support and protection than expected. The sole curls up to the front of the toes. I have twice stubbed a toe in the shoes. And both times the toes felt just as protected they would in a box toe pair of shoes.
I like the way you can feel your toes grasp the ground as you're running. Very natural feeling. I'm glad if I decided to try them. I've got weird feet and Morton's/Greek toe, but they seem to compensate as they are molding to fit. The big toe area on mine seems to bunch with a little extra cloth maybe because of my longer second toe, but doesn't affect comfort. I'm a size 12.5 and so usually get 13s but I went with 13 on peluva and seems to be the right choice.
Makes a nice change from regular toe squishing shoes. My feet are different sizes so I ordered up a size, they work well. Takes some practice getting your toes in the right slots but it’s not difficult once you’ve done it a few times. Would like a little more padding in the sole but they’re pretty comfy as is. Would recommend.
This is my first pair of toed shoes. I've had other barefoot shoes before, but not like these. It took me 2 trys to get the sizing correct, but now I think they're amazing. I've been putting on miles in them, the thought of strengthening my feet and legs with every step is just what I was looking for. So much so, I bought 2 more pairs. Can't wait till they get here. The worst part is getting used to all the dandelion heads getting stuck between my toes
So glad you found your fit, thank you for sharing!

Comfortable
There is an adjustment period just putting on the socks and shoes. I'm 64 and not as flexible as I once was When I get them on they are very comfortable Like wearing nothing without the pain from walking on pebble pavement and not wearing shoes. If I see a big sale I might buy the golf shoes
It’s like discovering you’ve been playing basketball your whole life wearing mittens when you discover how to unlock your toes and use them as they’re designed to do
At first I didn’t think I would like them because they felt quite uncomfortable but more than likely it was because my feet weren’t used to using my toes to balance as much. Since wearing everyday mainly when going to gym to to workout and a little while after I have noticed my balance is improving and knee pain is starting to go away as well!
When I first put them on they felt weird and a little uncomfortable. However, after pushing through the initial discomfort I noticed a change. My feet no longer became soar, regardless of how long i was on my feet. I notice a great deal of improvement in my balance. These types of shoes should be the standard.

Shoes seem great. Still working on putting
shoes on. Once on and all toes in place. Fantastic!
Still hard to get to this place. Doing it for 4 days. Will let you know how it goes.
