Kinda cheap looking
The cut and glue seams are kind of crude and make me worried how long the shoe will hold together. Material feels similar to an aquatic sports shoe.

Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerI love how they are less noticable than vibrams. I now can wear them to work, 12 hour shift as a nurse in more comfort. I just wish they had wider sizes. My feet are wide and my MTP (big toe) joint goes over the sole while the shoe shape prevents my big to from spreading. But no squished toes which I appreciate greatly!
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerI was thrilled to try on my shoes. I like the way they look. However, they are too small. I ordered a 9.5 US and should have ordered a 10 US. I've requested Peluva exchange them and honor my military discount. I can't wait to hear from them.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerMy pinky toe barely makes it into its chamber, but my big toe is fully hitting the wall. The toe area is shaped for people with a relatively flat foor front, not as curved as most minimalist shoes. This makes my pinky toe feel like it's constantly slipping out while my big toe feels cramped. Need multiple styles for different toe shapes...
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerI can't even put my fingers properly inside the shoes
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerOnly worn them for 3 days but so far I am very happy, and as long as they last for a reasonable amount of time I will continue to recommend them. P.S. I have Ascended past wearing socks with sandals now I can wear shoes with sandals
I love them
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerI love my new 5 toe Peluva’s! My only personal need would be for a little more width room for my big toes. Thanks, Mark!
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerVery nice and comfy.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerThe toe next to my big toe is slightly longer. Feels uncomfortable. Sad to say not for everyone.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerThe grey ones are my second pair. I had bought a pair of the loafers to complement my first blue Strands, but the fabric scraped my heels. Peliva’s customer service (Joy E.) promptly guided me through the refund process (which I had kept the shipping box as FedEx required you to use one that cost $7), and I ordered these grey puppies. They fit and feel the same, with slightly shorter laces making the tying easier. Since I wear this Peluvas almost exclusively i wanted to alternate days as it gives them time to dry out and will help them last longer—at least that’s the plan. I still own 3 pair of old Vibrams, as I’d been a Vibram wearer for over 10 years, but doubt I’d ever buy another of theirs, simply because the Peluvas are way more comfortable. Some will say the extra cushioning takes away from the barefoot feel, but I still get that feel and with Peluvas can walk over rocks, etc, pain free. The Vibrams have become my in-the-ocean shoes. Go Peluva!
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerI really love these shoes but I have very sensitive feet and the seam that comes up under the big toes bothers me enough to take a star away. I got some toe socks and that does help but even with socks if I tried to wear them and walk in them for a long period I think I'd have a problem. They are great for my Morton's neuroma, for the most part I don't feel it when wearing these shoes. I also think generally they are really going to help me improve my foot health.
I love them I wear them with the socks and they were true to size with the Nike size that I wear. I also really enjoy the Miami. The socks, snug them up just perfectly. I’ll be ordering different and more colors soon.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerWent out on my first 5k run today with my new set of Peluvas running shoes, amazing, perfect fit, comfortable and my knees did not hurt after the run for the first time in years. Thinking about getting me a second pair.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerI like how blue has less sheen than black. Black looks tacky, wish it were more matte
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerSimply put, these are the most comfortable shoes in the world. I don’t even want to take them off. Nothing compares to these shoes. I want to throw all my other shoes in the garbage.
I’ve tried and owned a couple pairs or toe shoes. I’ve also had Vivo barefoot shoes and all of the major shoe brands. These are 100 percent the most comfortable shoes I’ve owned. The feel like house shoes. I should throw all my other footwear away!
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerIt gives me the mobility of the barefoot experience with the shock absorption against hard pavement. It was just what I was looking for.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerMy feet are getting stronger due to wearing this .. I ordered a 2nd pair because I never want to wear any other shoes for walking anywhere. I never realized how much conventional shoes cramped my toes until I tried these. I will never go back to regular shoes.😊
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerI’ve been wearing minimalist footwear for many years now. I was very excited to finally see alternative “toe” shoe. Ordered a pair immediately. For myself, the fit just wasn’t there. The toes are too short. The sole cups the bottom of the foot, which made my foot feel crowded. I can see the appeal of the thicker sole but to me it felt not only thick, but stiff. I felt like style was the number one priority, with fit and functionality being second. I’ve seen a lot of minimalist shoes end up this way. Almost like they reverse engineered an athletic shoe that instead of starting with a foot and working out. Fit and finish on the shoe seemed to excellent. So three stars for a quality shoe. If they make a second generation of these, I’ll try them again. But for now, they miss the mark.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerThe strand is very fun and versatile! Straight out of the box I ran a 5k just to see how much running these shoes could do. They felt great and didnt feel the need for a break in period like most running shoes do. I did have to figure out my stride and gait since heel striking in these allthough didnt hurt, i didnt wanna do it much. So after the first mile learning to land more midfoot forefoot it was great! Extremely happy with them. Very comfortable to just play on my yard with my son as well. I have yet to get a lift in with them but this week that will be done!. Only downside i would say is to get a half size down. I got a 9.5 which is my regular shoe size. I could really use a size 9 to feel more freeing. I noticed while running my feet did slip a bit. But overall, great shoe!!
I'm a long-time wearer of minimalist shoes. I was very interested in these because, quite simply, they are the only alternative "toe" shoe I've seen in a while. For myself, the toes seemed short. As soon as I slid my foot in, I felt pressure on the inside of the big toe. I also could feel the sole of the shoe wrapping up around my foot. I know this is a styling element, but for myself, the overall effect was the feeling of confinement. The overall quality of the shoe seemed quite good. Because the return policy is so strict, I wasn't able to do anything in the shoes besides walk a bit on carpet, so I have no idea if they would have "broken in". I would have given them 30 days if the return policy was a bit more forgiving. I might have also tried a half size larger, just to be sure, but I feel it was the shape of the shoe that was the issue, not the size. My overall impression is that style came first. It felt like they started with a normal athletic shoe and added toes, instead of starting with a foot and building from there. Just my opinion. Three stars for what appears to be a decently constructed shoe. Wish it fit my foot better. I'd certainly try a second or third generation and see how these evolve with time. Also, a solid black option would be nice.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerComfortable and stylish. I wore them right out of the box for 1 1/2 days as they came just before I left on a weekend getaway. I walked a lot. My feet never tired. Felt amazing even on the city streets I was walking. 11/10 in my estimation! Will buy again/more colors in the future.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerExcellent. Especially like what seems to me to be a shorter toe slots. Is that on purpose or just something I experience idiosyncratically.
