Slips on and off a little too easily

I like the socks because they are necessary (I think) for putting on the shoes. I like that the toe area is soft and thin - i think it would be obnoxious to have too much material at the toe. But, it would be fantastic to have reinforced material in the mid foot area so that the socks aren’t too slippery inside the shoe and the sock, which has minimal elasticity, doesn’t slip right off your foot.

A little getting used to!

My first pair of toe shoes, but not my first pair of minimalist shoes, I would wear them around the house and play around with the fit (which is a half size) slipping them just on and off either barefoot or with my Injinji toe socks. After wearing the Peluva slip-ons for more than at least two/2 days MY MAIN ISSUE/TRANSITION INTO TOE SHOES IS THE PINKY TOE AREA! Majority of the regular fit shoes I have worn are Nike retro sneakers and Asics and New Balance runners. PINCHING & CHAFFING in-between my pinky toe and 2nd to last outer toe area even with toe socks is gonna take some "getting used to." *EVERYONE'S FEET ARE DIFFERENT!*

Very Comfortable!

Very comfortable. To wide for my narrow foot, but able to compensate with lacing. Need to offer narrower widths or larger women sizes. Shoe laces way too long!

Good start

I've been looking for toe-weird box-shoes for many years and these are one of my few favorites. The box they come in was surprisingly different and a great idea when trying them on at both in stores (when shoes are stacked up in box) and at home. Some minor issues and I've mentioned about it in a review respective to the pairs. Overall, it's a good start.

Loose Back

This is my first pair and I've been loving them aside from the sides of the back where my ankle is loss causing me to feel as if I'm wearing toe-shoes slippers. Wearing these (aside from the back) are comfortable and at times easy to put on- regardless of the difficulties from regular shoes. People aren't familiar with toe-socks-shoes and although I've been looked weirdly, I honestly think it's are quite a fancy for how people think of bunions and comfort of wearing shoes in general.

Do they work with Misshapen feet ?

I’ve been wanting this for a while now but there’s a problem, i have very small toes due to being born a few weeks to early so my feet didn’t have time to fully develop. But I still really like the idea of the product and wonder if my feet would work with the design, I’ve included a picture of my foot (I’m sorry) if that’s important and I hope that I can still use a pair of these shoes.

Innovative & exciting yet questions remain

As someone constantly working to improve my foot health and repair healthy function after too many years of athletics stuck in narrow, poorly shapes shoes, I'm so delighted that Peluva has arrived on the scene. I caught wind of the intiative when Mark was interviewed on a podcast over a year ago. At the time I was about to try Vibram FiveFingers because I was growing certain that toe spacers were needed to re-align my toes (which suffer from moderate hammer and curling) and yet all the toe spacers I tried either would hurt, fall out, or poorly fit. Whether sleeping with toe spacers or trying to fit them in shoes, they just are never going to be as effective as shoes like peluvas for people that are serious about foot recovery. This makes sense because its movement that heals and mobilizes, slowly and over time. Wearing toe spacers for most of your walking hours is just not practical. So, now to Peluvas: for a first pass at this problem they are exceptional. Toes are flexible enough. Once you learn how to get them on, they are easier to get on that toe socks (I really struggle to have patience with toe socks). Right off my 3rd and 4th metatarsals on my foot with the worse hammer toes started aching. To me this was an awesome sign that the peluvas hold a promise of healing. Pain as a signal of positive change! Here are the things I'm less excited about: - My feet get cold in them, especially toes. This is probably because I live in a house with cold wood floors, its winter in Washington State, and the corrective positions of my toes in the peluvas are aggressive enough (what I want) that the arterial flow is slightly comprised (and will be for some time until my feet re-align). So, this is probably the right outcome, but something folks should be aware of that want to wear these in northern climates in the winter (even inside) and don't have great circulation. What currently works wildly better for me is the Wildling Chestnut with an Oboz O-fit insole, since they are warm and cushioned. I figure once the spring warmth comes I'll be able to wear the peluvas more. - The upper material is fine, seems soft and pliable enough for the job. But it does not feel very high quality, so I worry it will not hold up well with wear over time. Also, the seams around the toes do not lay as flat as I'd hope. I don't feel, in my toes, this being a problem, just wanted to share this from an aesthetic point of view. - Toe length: everyone's toes are different lengths, so peluva as a product has a very hard, borderline impossible, problem of coming up with toe lengths that work for most people. For me it's not quite good enough: my big toe is snatched into the front while all my little toes are barely able to stay in the toes of the shoe when I take a step that bends my toes. To a certain extent this is because my little toes are hammered and my arches are not as strong as they could be. So the discomfort and acwardness of this I hope will help give a neurological stimulus to engage my arch (to take pressure off my big toe against the front of the shoe) and splay my toes (to help them stay in the toes of the shoe). But that dreamy future comes true I find myself wishing that peluva could somehow offer a shoe a little closer to my foot shape in order for me to be a little closer, out of the gates, to something that works. When I've used them for light training I've been able to keep my little toes inserted. But I'd really like to try running in them, and that is when I think the little toes would likely retract and then get mis-aligned in the shoe (effectively jamming them until I could stop and adjust to re-insert the toe).

Almost Perfect

I love the color, style, and fit. These have become my preferred house shoe. What’s missing? This shoe needs a small tab to hold onto at the back of the ankle to assist with pulling on the shoe. The suede material is quite soft and folds over easily making it difficult to slip these shoes on over the heel. I have no problem getting my toes into position. I spend what feels like several unnecessary seconds trying to keep a finger in back like a shoe horn to prevent the material bouncing up which makes it a struggle to pull on. I had anticipated having a shoe that I could slip into more easily. The sneaker version has the raised tab on the back. Maybe I just need to buy an old fashioned shoe horn.

Could be better.

The shoes are comfortable but I wish the material was better. There overpriced in my opinion.

Partly Me Probably Partly the Manufacturer

Overall, loving it. The “partly me” part tu can fix by properly manufacturing the shoes to fit the sizes they state rather than asking that we order the larger size. The correct size has no room in the big toe and significantly more space than toe in the space in the other toes. Take some of that extra out and put it in the big toe and my 10.5 are actually a proper fitting 10.5.

Duty Fees :(

This is our first time purchasing Peluva shoes. I was very happy with the Men's Strand Lightweight Trainer. I had not considered the additional over $50.00 duty fees on top of the $200.00 shoes. My mistake.

Might be Defective

My shoes have a sharp edge along both big toes leaving an indent on bottom of toe. Also baby toe edge also a sharp edge. Need to return.

Great shoe!

I’m very glad I bought these. They’re extremely comfortable, so much so that I no longer want to wear my other workout shoes. Surprisingly they don’t look too bad either. The only thing holding me back from 5 stars is that the pocket for the right big toe is slightly different from the left. Which makes my right big toe rub uncomfortably sometimes.

Toe Seperation

Taking time to get my toes to be able to separate enough. I bought toe separators to try to get my toes used to them.

Great Walking Shoes!!

Very Comfy! Snug fit and doesn’t slip. Only complaint is some friction points in the middle and fourth toe. Exited to try out the other models!

Socks

Normally I don't wear no show socks, but they came with the shoes and I need socks with toes. I have size 12 feet, so the socks are kinda small. But they are somewhat comfortable, worth using.

Can't complain

Reached out to customer service about their scanner not registering my foot size accurately. Responded to my email next day(on a Sunday). They were very informative and polite, however not entirely the most helpful(advice given was similar to what their website already said). But following said advice, I was able to find a size that fit. Would like to see some improvements to the scanner in the future, but overall would recommend.

Happily Surprised

For note, I have a wide foot(4E/Extra Wide)and have to usually go 2 sizes larger to fit most shoes. These are the best fitting shoes I have had. With this, the foot scanner did not properly measure my foot. Kept implying it was either 8(I am usually 9.5) or would say my foot was too small. Mild discomfort when first wearing, toes cramped. After wearing them more they fit like a glove. Only issue is now that its winter the breathable material lets more cold air in the I am use to. I think due to no padding nor arch support, causes muscles to tense in legs more then usual. My only concern is how well they will last years down the line. Most shoes I try to keep at least for 3 years. While the quality is nice, unsure if they will stand to wear and tear. For everday walking they seem fine, unsure how they will handle hiking or rougher terrain. Also, as someone who walks on their toes when barefoot, these are the first shoes to allow this and not feel painful/uncomfortable.

Great, but they're sizing could use more clarity

It feels great no real difference to the Miami but I would recommend the Miami for transitioning as it provides greater comfort. I do like the Strand better though, it has a much better fit. Fivefinger sock highly recommended for sliding in better.
