My feet love them
My feet are getting stronger due to wearing this .. I ordered a 2nd pair because I never want to wear any other shoes for walking anywhere.
I never realized how much conventional shoes cramped my toes until I tried these. I will never go back to regular shoes.😊
The strand is very fun and versatile! Straight out of the box I ran a 5k just to see how much running these shoes could do. They felt great and didnt feel the need for a break in period like most running shoes do. I did have to figure out my stride and gait since heel striking in these allthough didnt hurt, i didnt wanna do it much. So after the first mile learning to land more midfoot forefoot it was great! Extremely happy with them. Very comfortable to just play on my yard with my son as well. I have yet to get a lift in with them but this week that will be done!. Only downside i would say is to get a half size down. I got a 9.5 which is my regular shoe size. I could really use a size 9 to feel more freeing. I noticed while running my feet did slip a bit. But overall, great shoe!!
Comfortable and stylish. I wore them right out of the box for 1 1/2 days as they came just before I left on a weekend getaway. I walked a lot. My feet never tired. Felt amazing even on the city streets I was walking. 11/10 in my estimation! Will buy again/more colors in the future.
Got my first pair of Strands (blue) yesterday and have logged 15 km in two mornings on them. As an avid "barefoot shoes" (have owned 10+ pair of Vibrams 5 Fingers over the past 10 years) I can attest to the difference. These are less "barefoot" than Vibrams, with 9 mm soles, but they accomplish the most important thing--spreading out the toes, and with MUCH more comfort. These slip in and out like a well-fitting glove. Some say the laces are too long, and that may be, but a double knot takes care of it. I can't wait to get another pair of Strand (white) and try out the Miami as well. Just beware that at checkout you can only use one discount. It's pretty easy to find 10% out there, and they also offer "free socks" but in my case the socks were suddenly added back to my purchase price which I didn't catch, and they came size S when I take M or L. That said, a customer support person "Joy" refunded the $10 within an hour of hearing from me and I will use that $10 toward my next Peluva purchase anyway. Gotta hand it to Peluva for improving on the "barefoot" shoe. Highly recommended!
I've been trying to repair the damage to my feet from bad shoes, and now am taking a far more proactive approach, such as trying the Men's Strand. I first tried similar shoes when the Vibram models came out in I think 2011. The look a lot nicer, are comfortable and far easier to put on. I'm happy, but wonder how well they would do when actually hiking on dirty, perhaps muddy trails...and how well they would clean up afterwards. I have not tried that yet, but I'll do some experiments in the next few weeks.
The shoes rock... haven't put them through the paces as far as longevity but the initial look and feel is awesome. They're much better than my other 5 finger shoes!
I love these shoes so much that I even wrote a blog post about how much I've been enjoying them--https://microdosefitness.com/blog/f/peluva-boost-your-body-by-getting-back-to-your-roots

I'm still getting used to these shoes, but after several walks, I'm noticing that my toes are going into their appropriate spots more smoothly each time I put them on. They feel luxurious, light, and they look amazing. I can feel my toes contact the ground on each step, and I am using them the way I hoped I would. If you're into minimalist shoes, you HAVE to get a pair!
I’ve had to wear the shoes (Strand men’s 10.5) a few day before my feet were perfectly adapted to the new spaying of my toes. They feel great now and I love the fact that hard surfaces are comfortable to walk on. The staff were amazing in enabling me to move up a .5 size on my original order. Especially for the fact that I live in Canada. I highly recommend these shoes to anyone who wants to treat their feet to a spa like expensive every time they slip them on!
I've used my first pair of Peluvas for 2 weeks, both walking and then (yes, even) jogging/running. They are my first pair of "minimalist/barefoot" shoes. It took about 1-2 days for my feet and legs to "get used" to it, very comfortable and after about a week, I decided to try jogging/running in them. Somehow it felt better doing that in them than in my regular running shoes, no shin/knee aches after. The next running session I had, I used regular running shoes and voila, shins/knees ached again. After some rest and recovery, I decided to use the Peluvas for jogging/running again. No issues with shin/knee after. I know they don't recommend running in these, but so far it seems to be working better for me compared to running shoes. Anyway, for everything else, my Peluvas have been really comfortable and great. I only hope they can ship internationally in the near future or someone can suggest a cheaper shipping forwarder :), would love to get another pair! (as for the long laces - hey just tie double/triple knots!)
These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn and my wife thinks they are very comfortable as well!
I’ve been using five fingers for about 10 years from Vibram and love them but I don’t have a lot of flesh on my feet and never did get used to the rocks underneath. It inhibited my run and caused me to tense up my right knee to protect my foot as the bottom of that foot was more sensitive.
This caused my knee to bother me when I would run and even when I wouldn’t run. Having the thicker sole still gives me the minimalist feel but has helped me work to alleviate tensing up my knee because now I’m not afraid of the pain from the rocks underneath.
Because of this, I have more power because I can get up on my toes more and not be inhibited.
One of the most amazing things about these is the fabric they put on these. It stays looking new all the time. Once in a while I have to wipe it off with a damp cloth but it’s really nice looking and I’ve worn it now on many runs through dirt and mud, etc. I don’t know if they put Scotchgard on or what but they are pretty amazing!
I would say that if you have a smaller foot like me, the shoelaces are very long, but if you tie them in a triple not they don’t drag. If I could recommend something it would be to shorten the shoelaces
I can definitely feel the difference when I put the shoes on compared to other comfortable shoes. I thought I felt comfortable what other shoes boy was I wrong these shoes are amazing so comfortable I use them for working out walking and throughout the day as well. Thank you so much you have seen my feet.
I have the Blue Strand Peluvas and am blown away. I never had other 5 finger shoes, so I took it easy to start. As I got used to them, my feet and body felt so good. I would have thought more people would be commenting on them because they look so stylish and different. The rest of the world will wake up soon to the joy of Peluva!
Love the color, feel, and design! No complaints at all. I went with the heather/Grey so it would match a little bit of everything. To each is own on color.....! Fair Price. I would recommend the Peluva shoes to anyone looking for a close to the ground, flexible, no stack, minimalist shoe, etc.! Well Done.
My experience my first peluva here are pros and cons.
Here are the pros way more comfortable than I thought it would be it's been 9+ days as I'm writing this very durable I average 20,000 steps a day or more the first three days had them on half the day and then have my sneakers on the other half just to see how it feels but it was comfortable throughout the day I try toes shoes before and minerals shoes before and usually after an hour or so using them my feet will hurt for a little while to you get used to it. This shoes was a seamless transition on my feet. Even use them for work and working out to see how they feel it is great. Like I said before I'm usually between 18 and 22,000 steps a day around 10 miles took them to the parks walk over rocks branches also ride Subways I'm in NY here so there's always obstacles all around uneven streets and construction and etc just trying to see the limits of the sneaker. With all that still comfortable and durable but like I said it's been around 9+ days as I'm writing this I definitely want to do a update in about 3 weeks which make it a month and let you guys know how it's going.
but if you are interested in trying toe sneakers minimalist sneaker you have to try these out in my opinion.
And another note they do throw in a pair of socks to go with your sneakers that's a nice touch. 5 out 5.
Here are the cons shoes should have came with an extra pair of shoelaces not sure if they did but mine's didn't it and on that same note the shoelaces in my opinion are slightly too long that's as far as my cons. Not a deal breaker at all.
Great work guys can't wait to see how the future look keep up the great work
