My new favorite shoe for every day, everything wear!
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerI really like my Peluvas. They really do help strengthen your feet and ankles. Strong feet is essential as we age. I plan on being fully mobile into old age. Peluvas are a key part for balance and healthy feet. I’m a fan. Thx Sisson. Great product!
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerI had a burst Baker's Cyst a year ago. My recovery has been hampered by a stiff right foot preventing a natural walking motion and creating pain in my right knee. In just a few days I have almost recovered my normal walking motion. I was limited to 23min/mile walking speed and in just a week I am walking 20min/mile with less discomfort.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerI love wearing them. They were just the right size. Satisfied.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerI tried "toe shoes" when they first came out. I lost interest but when I saw the Peluva I thought I'd give it another try. I'm glad I did! I find I'm wearing these almost every day, walking, to work, traveling, hiking and more. They were much more comfortable on a long international flight than traditional shoes, and even on rocky mountain terrain they seem to work pretty well. Not good in snow or mud -- but didn't expect them to be! In the summer I frequently wear them without socks, late fall/winter I wear socks. They passed the "will I really wear these" test, so I purchased several of the other models, and another Strand in a different color. I try to wear these as much as possible, but when it's wet or snowy...I use different shoes. They get dirty easily, but are easy to wash. I purchased a shoe dryer which helps when they get damp.
Men's Strand Lightweight Trainerwear it all day
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerThese are hard to put on, but after they are on its like I'm wearing nothin, they are so comfortable that I forget I'm wearing them for a while sometimes. Only issue I have isn't even with the shoes, its the socks. Not a fan of no show socks, but they are a must have for the shoes though. Overall I'm impressed, but would love to see more options for the socks someday.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerI bought it in size 10 and I need a 10.5. I wear 9.5. So, I followed the suggested add-on .5 on any size. Well 1 full size is more appropriate. Cheers
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerBeen wearing toe shoes for years but was always wishing someone would design a "more" normal shoe, such as it is. This is where Peluva took the giant leap, and I want to say, thank you! Let's face it, toe shoes are toe shoes, but Peluva has taken the leap and applied a fresh look to toe shoes. The styling is much different and at first quick glance looks like a normal shoe. I was not sure if I would like the higher stack height, but at the end of the day, I sure did. The shoes are just flat out comfortable both with or without socks as I have worn them both ways. I also like the lace up style, I just think it allows for more adjustment and it makes the shoes look really good. I will be purchasing additional pairs soon, I like them that much! Hats off to all the folks at Peluva.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerThe shoes were super lightweight and comfortable!!! Thank you Paluva for freeing the feet!!
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerNice fitting and pretty comfortable shoe. These have been very good at strengthening my feet and toes. I wear them for long walks everyday. I look forward to using them and the relief feet feel after. I could tell after a week of using them, just how much better my feet felt and looked. My toes thank Peluva.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerReally cool 😎
Men's Strand Lightweight Traineri gave you a 5 star review, don't make me write words about it. good shoe.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerThese are so much more comfortable than standard shoes. The toe spread is a game changer. The quality is amazing as well and I expect these shoes to last me a long time.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerThey are very comfortable. Definitely order a 1/2 size larger than you normally would for regular shoe size. There is a little learning curve to getting toes in the right spots. Hopefully they will hold up to daily wear.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerI enjoy using these shoes for errands etc. I will next try using them for lifting weights (not cardio yet). So far like them. I had to return one pair and go up 1/2 size (a result of initially depending on the photo app link). I forgot to upsize the socks to the 11 and up size, so I just wear without socks for now. I am not sure wether I will use socks with these.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerI gave these a stress test right out of the box...volunteering at the local food pantry for 6 hours straight...all on a cement floor. At the end of my shift, I was amazed at how little fatigue I felt in my feet, legs, or back, compared to my usual state of exhaustion. I've worn nothing else since, and plan to acquire another pair soon!
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerComfortable shoes
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerStrengthens your feet while protecting them from the elements.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerJust ordered my second pair. Strengthens your feet while giving you protection from the outside elements.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerI tried the Vibram shoes about a decade ago. They took a bit of time to adjust to, but I never got the the point where I wanted to wear them every day. The Strand was very easy to adjust to, and even walking on hard surfaces they were comfortable and durable. I've been wearing them every day I can since winter is coming and I don't think these will be very good in the snow, and are not good in the rain, as the breathable fabric lets water in as well as out. I've experimented with walking on trails, and they work just fine, but they get dirty very quickly. I can see why the high top version is in a color that won't show dirt as well, and I'll buy a pair this spring when hiking starts up again, after the snow melts. I've worn them with an without socks, both work well. Without socks they will pick up stink and moisture but I got a simple shoe dryer, and that problem was solved. With socks they are a bit more comfortable and moisture control is a bit better. Overall I'm very happy with the Strand, and look forward to trying additional models when spring arrives.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerI believe conventional shoes have damaged the nerves in my feet, so I've been searching for the holy grail of footwear. It took a few days for me to get comfortable with the new sensations around my toes, but I'm starting to wonder if I could ever go back to the "normal" old foot mittens.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerReceived these recently. Peluva Strand, in Black/White, size US 10 (mens). I wear EU43 on most shoes, including VFF's, which would be about 9.5 in most shoes, but given their website recommendations suggested by StrufFit, I went with the recommended size 10. It was spot on - the shoes fit great (wearing them right now with the thin socks - I will report later on the thicker socks). I had various Lems (Primal Zen, Primal 2, and 9to5), and once I got used to the VFF's, I "had" to sell the Lems as they felt "spongy" soft. I have to admit I was worried about these Peluvas being the same/similar, since they have a rather "thick" 9mm stack, but after wearing them today all afternoon, the insoles in these are not "soft" - not like the Lems. You can totally feel the higher/thick 9mm insole compared to my trusty VFF's (here compared to my V-Alphas) but whatever the material/density is, they feel fairly firm. The upper is very comfy, and the shoe is wide enough for me. So far, so good . I will report more as I put some miles in them.
I love this shoe
