Men's Strand ATRAfter a few weeks with my Peluva’s
I really like these barefoot type shoes a lot. You pretty much feel the ground as if you were barefoot, but certainly have the protection enough to go walk on gravel or rougher terrain as I do on my daily walks. I did have to get used to putting on toed socks and then lining up my toes in the shoes, which I am getting better at. I like the feeling of it, spreading your foot out more and I feel that it’s doing good for my feet and hopefully can prevent injury and keep my feet healthy as I age. I have been walking in Hoka shoes the last six months and they are very comfortable, but I feel that the Peluva shoe is more natural and helping my feet develop more stability.

Really liking the Strand ATR shoe so far! Just the right amount of comfort and support. Would have given a 5 star but one issue I’m seeing is the stitching in the toe slots is rubbing my toe socks really bad which looks to probably wear the socks out faster! Added a photo of socks that are new and just worn once and can see the fraying from the stitches rubbing. So other than that seems to be a great shoe so far!

With the improved tread and the Kevlar mid layer - taking these into the yard and on the trailer inspire more confidence compared to nonATR Strand models. Consider me a fan of the new design. Re: Fit - I found I needed to go up a half-size because the ATR uppers have less stretch in the material. Re: Damp - For those who live in areas where morning grass has dew - the materials are not hydrophobic enough to prevent wet toes; but they do get less-wet than regular Strand in the same situation. Re: Durability - two weeks in and not changing routine, they are holding up well. But soon they will be parked because of snow/ice/wet.

While the shoes didn't meet all my expectations, this company is excellent. The shoes are great looking and made of quality materials. I just found the fit a little off for my foot. Otherwise, I highly recommend this company and shoe.

Apprehensive at first but the ATR shoes are very comfortable! Walking in the woods shooting 3D Archery I found that my footing was a lot more stable! Only discovery is that some weeds and twigs can get caught between my toes.

I love the way my Peluvas spread the toes, and the minimalist feel gives a great connection between my foot and the ground. I ended up having to order a full size up from my normal size, even more than the half size up recommendation but Peluva made it very easy to swap them out for the right size. My first couple of days threw a learning curve with getting the toes in the right toe slots but a week later and I'm getting the shoes on mostly on the first try. Some people think they are weird but most people think they are cool looking. Totally met my expectations for look, feel and quality.

I loved the original Strand, and the ATR does not disappoint. I've been wearing the ATR non-stop since it arrived, and it's been my go-to for walking my dog in the woods on fall days. I've also been crawling in the ATR, which is my favorite way to exercise, and I think it looks really good. My new favorite Peluva model
I really like this model, it's got all the benefits of the original Strand, but with much better traction, and a bit more comfortable feel on hard surfaces. I wish there were some other color choices, but I got the green so it doesn't look dirty as easily. I've got just about every variation available (not the dressy one) and these are an improvement in comfort and traction over all the others. Thanks Peluva!

No better or worse than any of their other shoes. I really do like this brand a lot but it gets 2 stars cause one of the selling points of this guy is it is water resistant. I did an additional water repelling spray when I got them and my feet still got wet when I walked in my dewy yard one morning. If you are buying these hoping they will keep your feet dry, think again. But overall they are an improvement on peluvas other options. The tred on the bottom is fantastic. The color options are way better, I love the darker/speckled sides of the soles to hide farm dirt/wear. This new style of laces are really nice. And the shoe practically slips on my foot with little resistance.
