Love them!
Everyday No Show Sock UnisexMy feet are getting stronger due to wearing this .. I ordered a 2nd pair because I never want to wear any other shoes for walking anywhere. I never realized how much conventional shoes cramped my toes until I tried these. I will never go back to regular shoes.😊
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerI love my 9.5 Strand so I decided to order the Miami as I like having slip-on shoe. The same size in Miami just did not work for me. Perhaps it's because my 2nd toe is longer than my big toe. Sop I went 1/2 size up to a size 10 and I am glad I made the change. The exchange process was fast and seamless. Great product and service to match.
I’ve been wearing minimalist footwear for many years now. I was very excited to finally see alternative “toe” shoe. Ordered a pair immediately. For myself, the fit just wasn’t there. The toes are too short. The sole cups the bottom of the foot, which made my foot feel crowded. I can see the appeal of the thicker sole but to me it felt not only thick, but stiff. I felt like style was the number one priority, with fit and functionality being second. I’ve seen a lot of minimalist shoes end up this way. Almost like they reverse engineered an athletic shoe that instead of starting with a foot and working out. Fit and finish on the shoe seemed to excellent. So three stars for a quality shoe. If they make a second generation of these, I’ll try them again. But for now, they miss the mark.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerI love the idea of these shoes — I've been a barefoot convert for five years, and wearing Vibrams for the past few. Unfortunately, the footbed felt too stiff — I could tell right out of the box before I even tried them on that I wouldn't get the flexibility I needed there — and lacked the cushioning/arch support I hoped for (I'm coming from Altra, which is what I walk in). The sneakers are otherwise aesthetically pleasing, and I could see someone wearing them with gym gear or casual clothes alike. Excellent customer service, too. If Peluva comes out with a more responsive sole, I'll definitely be back.
Women's Strand Lightweight TrainerGreat fit. Good for those colder days with my Peluvas
Everyday No Show Sock UnisexThese are so lightweight yet high quality construction, so comfortable and great for so many activities. Easy to clean after a walk in the woods, too!
Women's Strand Lightweight TrainerI used to be a big fan of “Skeletoes”. These are even better. They are comfortable, shock absorbing and great to keep foot fatigue from knocking at the door.
Women's Strand Lightweight TrainerThe strand is very fun and versatile! Straight out of the box I ran a 5k just to see how much running these shoes could do. They felt great and didnt feel the need for a break in period like most running shoes do. I did have to figure out my stride and gait since heel striking in these allthough didnt hurt, i didnt wanna do it much. So after the first mile learning to land more midfoot forefoot it was great! Extremely happy with them. Very comfortable to just play on my yard with my son as well. I have yet to get a lift in with them but this week that will be done!. Only downside i would say is to get a half size down. I got a 9.5 which is my regular shoe size. I could really use a size 9 to feel more freeing. I noticed while running my feet did slip a bit. But overall, great shoe!!
This shoe is very comfortable. I did have to size up one full size from the walking shoes I had been wearing. If you have slightly wonky toes it may take you a few seconds to get your toes in the right slots. These shoes do replace the use of correct toe spacers for bunions and are more comfortable for me than those. The fabric is soft and there's no seams to bother my bunions either. I like the feeling of connecting to the ground instead of huge amounts of cushioning. Currently I'm wearing them indoors so my feet can get used to the toe separation. So far so good and I might rate these a 5 out 5 in future when I've worn them longer.
Women's Strand Lightweight TrainerI'm a long-time wearer of minimalist shoes. I was very interested in these because, quite simply, they are the only alternative "toe" shoe I've seen in a while. For myself, the toes seemed short. As soon as I slid my foot in, I felt pressure on the inside of the big toe. I also could feel the sole of the shoe wrapping up around my foot. I know this is a styling element, but for myself, the overall effect was the feeling of confinement. The overall quality of the shoe seemed quite good. Because the return policy is so strict, I wasn't able to do anything in the shoes besides walk a bit on carpet, so I have no idea if they would have "broken in". I would have given them 30 days if the return policy was a bit more forgiving. I might have also tried a half size larger, just to be sure, but I feel it was the shape of the shoe that was the issue, not the size. My overall impression is that style came first. It felt like they started with a normal athletic shoe and added toes, instead of starting with a foot and building from there. Just my opinion. Three stars for what appears to be a decently constructed shoe. Wish it fit my foot better. I'd certainly try a second or third generation and see how these evolve with time. Also, a solid black option would be nice.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerIf you wear a 10.5 normal shoe, then a 10.0 will work prefect. I don't wear my normal shoes anymore, peluvas to work and vibrams for Cardio and workouts. Excellent for feet strength!
Men's Miami Casual LoaferComfortable and stylish. I wore them right out of the box for 1 1/2 days as they came just before I left on a weekend getaway. I walked a lot. My feet never tired. Felt amazing even on the city streets I was walking. 11/10 in my estimation! Will buy again/more colors in the future.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerI love the concept of this shoe! I have tried various “barefoot” shoes and decided to give these a try. First of all, they are nearly impossible to get on correctly. It has taken me several minutes to get on the socks and then the shoes. Very frustrating! They also constrict my toes. They feel like they squeeze the toes and almost cut off blood flow! I feel like I’m walking strangely because my toes are pinched. And this is my correct size.
They're comfortable and very much helped with getting my toes into the right places when putting on the shoes
Everyday No Show Sock UnisexExcellent. Especially like what seems to me to be a shorter toe slots. Is that on purpose or just something I experience idiosyncratically.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerGot my first pair of Strands (blue) yesterday and have logged 15 km in two mornings on them. As an avid "barefoot shoes" (have owned 10+ pair of Vibrams 5 Fingers over the past 10 years) I can attest to the difference. These are less "barefoot" than Vibrams, with 9 mm soles, but they accomplish the most important thing--spreading out the toes, and with MUCH more comfort. These slip in and out like a well-fitting glove. Some say the laces are too long, and that may be, but a double knot takes care of it. I can't wait to get another pair of Strand (white) and try out the Miami as well. Just beware that at checkout you can only use one discount. It's pretty easy to find 10% out there, and they also offer "free socks" but in my case the socks were suddenly added back to my purchase price which I didn't catch, and they came size S when I take M or L. That said, a customer support person "Joy" refunded the $10 within an hour of hearing from me and I will use that $10 toward my next Peluva purchase anyway. Gotta hand it to Peluva for improving on the "barefoot" shoe. Highly recommended!
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerGreat all purpose shoe. Will definitely purchase some more.
Men's Strand Lightweight TrainerFor a woman who loves to wear pointy high heels, it is a big relief when I wear Peluva shoes. My usual shoes size are 7 and I ordered size 7.5, they fit perfectly. They are very comfortable and stylish. After a short while, they are very easy to put on. I had an issue with the first pair of shoes I received. I contacted the customer service and they were very helpful. I highly recommend them.
Women's Miami Casual LoaferI've been trying to repair the damage to my feet from bad shoes, and now am taking a far more proactive approach, such as trying the Men's Strand. I first tried similar shoes when the Vibram models came out in I think 2011. The look a lot nicer, are comfortable and far easier to put on. I'm happy, but wonder how well they would do when actually hiking on dirty, perhaps muddy trails...and how well they would clean up afterwards. I have not tried that yet, but I'll do some experiments in the next few weeks.
Men's Strand Lightweight Trainerso comfortable and help keeping my feet in proper alignment while walking or even sitting.
Women's Strand Lightweight TrainerVery comfortable and good quality. Perfect fit.
Everyday No Show Sock Unisexit was a damaged sock and do not like band
Everyday No Show Sock UnisexGlad I bought them a half-size bigger than my Strands so I can fit some socks in there. That will ensure I can also walk in them through the fall and winter.
