I seen another review to go a size up and im glad i did. Instead of my normal 12, i went with size 13.
These are first pair of toe shoes, as i do have other wide toe box barefoot shoes.
Putting them on will take some getting used to, it took me time to get certain toes into the right slots, especially the pinky toe ( stubborn Lol ). But other than that… i love them.
Thank you Peluva and staff. I will back again for a different pair.

The buying experience is awesome fast returns and replacements. Then only thing is they don’t have 13.5 in men’s I had to get a size 14. They fit a little big but I got socks for the shoes.
Thanks, Vicente! We’re thrilled to hear the return and replacement process went smoothly for you. Totally understand about the sizing, if you’re ever between sizes, pairing with socks is a smart move. Appreciate the support!

Awesome Perfect Toe Shoe - very comfortable and relaxing and made easy on the foot and toe!
I had been wear other brand of toe shoe in past and not like until I saw Peluva online first time and saw all awesome toe shoe design and ordered this Strand Sport Mesh. This shoe is awesome and feel very comfortable as zero heel much better than any regular shoe with varies of heel which cause uncomfortable between my knee and hip. It made me want leave it on forever and go anywhere! I like to walk barefoot as usually but need get better shoe that able go anywhere better than Vibram FiveFinger. Final answer is Peluva! Thanks. Yes I am planning to order more Peluva toe shoes later as my collection! My suggestion the size is one size up from your usually regular shoe so you will able to wear with or without toe socks. I like wear either with or without toe socks. Yeah the try on to get right is challenge, the exchange online to get right size is wonderful and fast response and shipping on time.
This is amazing, Daniel! We’re so glad you found the comfort, design, and support you were looking for and that Peluvas are now part of your barefoot lifestyle. Thanks for sharing your experience and tip on sizing. We can’t wait to have you back for your next pair!

Life-changing shoes!
I'm a Peluva CONVERT! I've been working on my foot health and balance as one main focus of my health in 2025. I have Morton's neuromas on both feet. At the beginning of '25, my feet were flat, bunions were re-emerging after surgery to have them removed from both feet in 2006, and my right toes would get a tingling sensation of painful pins and needles after walking just one mile.
I started watching Courtney Conley talk about earth shoes and barefoot shoes. I now own several Xero earth shoes, Vivo Barefoot shoes, vibram five fingers and now Peluvas. Each shoe has served it's purpose in allowing my feet to splay, move and expand with each step. But omg... Peluva is winning for me among these brands!
I now own 3 pairs of Peluvas - - the lightweight strand trainer, the mesh sports trainer and the strand ATR Peluvas. I can walk for MILES and MILES and Miles (and do so daily) in these shoes without *any* foot pain! I feel like Peluvas have given me back my ability to walk!
- I am almost making myself cry thinking about how much better my life is now that I'm able to not only walk 5-7 miles a day, but I can do it with a weighted vest! I will add that I still need a thin metatarsal insert to help support my Morton's neuromas but this is an issue unique to me.
It did require a break-in period for me, but I feel my foot issues are quite extensive, so everyone's mileage my vary here.
I have worn barefoot shoes, wide toebox for two years now and loved it. However, I always noticed a feeling of being somewhat tired and my lower back calf muscle. When I got up and walked around, it always took a few seconds to get going and get rid of that pain. This is my first pair of toe shoes. I’m here to tell you within 30 minutes of walking in the shoes that pain disappeared and it stayed gone. I find it a little tricky to get my toes in the right spot and even harder to put it on the toe socks lol I’m only 48 so no I’m not that old that I can’t do it. I love my shoes looking to buy another pair from Peluva soon. Thanks for helping me out Peluva!
Love this, Teofil! We’re thrilled to hear your first pair of toe shoes made such a difference. Getting the toes in can be tricky at first, but sounds like you’ve got it down. Thanks for the kind words!

Best shoes I’ve ever worn!
For years I struggled with finding good toe shoes that would match my needs and be good enough to use on a day to day basis, but Peluva took that problem away. This is my second pair I’ve bought In the last month and I wear them almost all day, everyday. Extremely comfortable, super easy to wash and take care of, incredibly easy to take on and off unlike other brands, and they look amazing. I get compliments in my gym and in the dojo for how minimalist and clean they look, which seems rare for a style of shoe that isn’t exactly common to see yet. One problem I see with these shoes is the bottom of the toe seems to be peeling just slightly. This hasn’t affected performance or comfortability, however I’ve only had them for about two weeks, so it can be an issue down the line.
Only thing I do wish every shoe came with was the nice shoe box… yeah you read that right. My first pair came in a shoe box that was basically a pull out drawer that I could stack in my closet. A super convenient and nice addition to these shoes. When the second pair came with a standard shoe box I was a bit disappointed, so I hope they change this in the future so that all shoes come with it!
Absolutely love these shoes, 10/10 for me, I will be purchasing a lot more in the future.
Wow! Thank you, Dylan! We’re thrilled they’ve been such a game-changer. We appreciate the feedback about the box and sole, we’re always looking to improve. Enjoy every step!

Moving from vibram to peluva
After having twenty something vibrams it was hard to make a switch, but I was looking for some different styles and a thicker soul to keep me out of the elements. Peluva offered me exactly that.... some new styles and a more wearable shoe with the same toe first idea. Absolutely love them!
Love hearing this, Aaron! Thanks for giving Peluva a shot after all those Vibrams. Glad the thicker sole and new style hit the mark for you while still keeping that barefoot feel.

I think they're great 👍🏽😁
So far I've worn them on walks and I've worked out in them. They feel great and are surprisingly comfortable. I plan on wearing them instead of my slides. I need a second pair.
Appreciate the awesome review, Shahid! Glad to hear they’re working well for walks and workouts. Sounds like your slides might be officially retired! 👏

Liking my pair!
The shoe was hard to get on at first but after a few days of breaking them in they slide on relatively easy. I am liking the shoe. Comfortable for sure. Thinking of getting rid of all my normal shoes because they all feel terribly uncomfortable in comparison. About two weeks in now of wearing them daily and all is well! Felt a little sore in my calves and the muscles in my feet the first four days or so but that has faded now. Great shoes! Quality seems good so far.
Thanks for the feedback, Joshua! Glad to hear they’re super comfortable. Noted on the fit during more active movement, appreciate you sharing!

Great shoes!
I love my Peluvas and my feet do too! I now own several pairs, and my wife does too, and we wear them all the time. Once your feet feel the difference, you'll reach for them all the time.
I’ve only worn these a few times but really like the feel and the balance between natural feet and a bit of cushion as well. Can be a bit uncomfortable on outer toe but I expected that during transition.
Thanks for sharing, Douglas! That balance of natural feel and cushion is exactly what we’re aiming for. The outer toe discomfort should ease as your feet adjust, glad to hear it’s off to a good start!
I bought the men's shoes because women's didn't have my size - and I went a size larger as recommended - my feet are very wide. I've worn custom orthotics for years, over-pronation, with high arches, morton's neuroma, and hammer toe. The orthotics seemed to be helping, but I had to get new ones every five years or so, things would change. Then in my 50s I started having terrible leg cramps at night and I noticed a bunion forming. Doctor said I my arches were falling, and this is normal with age, just get new orthotics (again).
I watch the 'stay flexy' guy's reels a lot and what he said about barefoot shoes and toe splay - though it went completely against everything doctors had been telling me - made a lot of sense. So I bought a pair.
I'm amazed - it took about 2 weeks of adjusting to the toe shoes, but now my feet slide into them as fast as regular shoes. What's better , the bunion seems to be reversing, I no longer wake up with foot pain at night, no more pain in my calves.
It feels a bit strange at first, these shoes are just too comfortable to be wearing out in the store. I did 20k steps last Saturday, woke up Sunday without any pain and did another 15k steps. I feel like I have the mobility of my early 30s back, it's amazing.
What an incredible transformation, thank you for sharing your story! We’re thrilled to hear how much relief and mobility you’ve regained. Keep thriving!
