I listened to a podcast and had been curious about a barefoot shoe. Thought I’d give it a try after some research. I like that it’s super light weight and solid color. It’s very comfy and after a few times of breaking it in, it’s all I really want to wear. I try and walk many times per week and I’m starting a lifting program soon. Many folks at the gym say this improves their lifting game. I’ll let you know. 😉
Love the idea of the barefoot as a fitness professional for over 35 yrs of teaching , training and gym owner. I’d been intrigued by the science of barefoot training so decided to take the plunge after listening to Chalenes podcast. The only issue for me was that the back rubbed the skin off my heels and can’t wear again until they heal. will try them again-perhaps it’s a sizing issue…
Women's Strand Sport MeshLove these sneaks! I’m a 5 mile beach walker. You really feel like you are walking barefoot without hurting the sole of your foot on rocks or seashells. Highly recommend!!! I love the light blue color too!
Women's Strand Sport MeshLet me start off by saying that the sizing and tools used to find your correct size were definitely off for me. I used the tool where you take a picture of your foot with the piece of paper. It was recommended that I buy a size 7.5, however if you read the sizing info, it was recommended to buy 1 size up from your current (normal) shoe size. Well I was wearing under armour in size 8.5 so that would mean I should go up to a 9.5 which did not seem right to me. So I decided to go with a size 8. That ended up being to small, so I returned for a size 8.5 which fit like a glove! So in my experience, my normal street shoe size of 8.5 was just right. So good luck with sizing! With that being said, once I got the correct size, I absolutely love these shoes!!! I can move each toe individually and see how my toes can grip different surfaces so much better than before. I have worn earthrunners sandals for the last few years, so I'm so happy to find a shoe that I can also move freely in and also provides a bit more protection while keeping my feet warmer in the colder months. I also im glad that I have these for the gym, since my gym would not allow me to wear my earthrunners to work out in.

I'm an ER nurse, on my feet for 12hr shifts, minimalist shoes are the most comfortable I've worn in my 41yr career. I love your shoes, my toes are still getting use to their own type pockets, lol, but I'm sure they'll come around. I'm now semi retired, but will get a pair of your Strands as soon as I can work it in to the budget. Thx for great shoes!!
